Trine 4 goes back to its 2 dimensional roots with a truly beautiful looking world with great puzzle gameplay to follow. A great game to play on your lonesome or with 3 friends.
My biggest criticism is that you're only allowed 4 wizard constructs on screen at a time, with 3 people playing it's easy to accidentally destroy each others constructs.
Besides that one minor issue, this game is stunning, has some tricky puzzles and the final boss fight is just a genuine thrill.

The Walking Dead tears you apart and makes you care for a character as if it was your own child. It's a game based around decision making a stories. Each decision changes the story like a read your own adventure book but as you go from episode to episode your relationships with characters grow stronger and you find yourself caring as if making a decision actually has an impact on your own life in some way. It's the ultimate in moral growth.

I definitely recommend this game.

When first seeing the product and seeing what it was possible of doing with the two pads I thought to myself "yeah, but it won't work like that at all". I was very cynical and my thinking was "if it aint broke, don't fix it". I used an xbox 360 controller before buying a steam controller which i love, It's got a great weight to it. It's a nice size, the buttons feel sturdy and it's hard to accidentally hit a command, having said this about the 360 controller, the steam controller is better and should now be considered the standard with consoles.

It was a hard transition to go from 360 Controller to steam controller because of the different layout, but once you get past that you realise how much of a beast the controller is and how useful it is for gaming and gamers. The control scheme is COMPLETELY customisable, to the point where I can even control how the input on the pad is registered in game which is something that I can't do with my 360 controller or even on the native console its from.

Lets get into buttons; so the SC (Steam Controller - Tired of writing Steam Controller already) has 22 Buttons. 2 triggers, 2 shoulder pads, 2 center buttons in each pad, 4 buttons as a D pad in one pad, ABXY buttons, Back and Start, an analogue stick button and a steam button. which adds up to 18 buttons. I only mention these because they are the standard. The SC adds 4 more, in each trigger there is a separate button at the end of pushing it which is pressed by applying extra pressure to the triggers. there are also 2 buttons under where you hold the controller by where you third, fourth and pinkie finger would sit. I LOVE these additions, It means I have absolute control over my triggers and I have two extra buttons which might make certain games feel better, for instance, in Batman Arkham Knight I can use the two back and set them as attack and counter attack, It means I still have a thumb free to look around the room and am able to press the shoulder or trigger buttons whilst I look around.

Not only is this an amazing piece of hardware, but the software used for mapping the buttons is quite a pleasure to use. it's fast, changes the configuration the instant you change it. has so many options to change that I couldn't list them. One option i did notice however was something called "mode switching". This option means whilst this button is pressed you can set other buttons to do different actions which is also great for games such as Batman Arkham Knight because I really like the "trackpad" mode on the SC, but trackpad mode doesn't work with the hacking system because it will always revert to center, so I can set one of the back buttons or perhaps the analogue stick button to mode switch the right pad so it will work like an analogue stick for the period you are using the two pads to hack. If someone had told me a week before i bought the steam controller "hey, imagine a controller better than the xbox 360 controller" I would've had a very hard time visualising a concept, but Valve have nailed it.

Time to stop giving virtual handjobs to valve engineers and tell you the very few flaws I think this device has.
It runs on batteries. Not THAT big an issue but i'm trying to nitpick this because most controllers are wireless without batteries (I bought a battery pack for the 360, but I know there are others I can buy that don't use batteries and are wireless)
Another small issue I have is that the back buttons in a time of excitement or panic can be pressed accidentally when you squeeze the controller. Since the back buttons aren't particularly useful unless you've set them to be useful it's not that big an issue unless you've made it one.

Overall, this incredible controller should be a standard across consoles and everyone should migrate to this controller. It feels well built, engineered incredibly well that even the battery compartments feel great when putting batteries in and the software is incredible too.
If you were having doubts before, you shouldn't be now. buy it!

9.5/10 (knocked 0.5 because of the back buttons accidentally pressed, maybe i need to control myself more when playing games)

If you want a game thats physics engine is broken with AI that's easily influenced to go somewhere, then this game is for you!
Because honestly, this game isn't amazing. It's okay... It's one of those games you buy because its cheap, play one day and get surprised that you got a game that looks nice and plays pretty well too.

The premise of the game is to get from A to B and get an NPC to get their too. the NPC can never be caught so the game isn't too much like a "clear this room and continue" kind of feel, you can approach a level by killing everyone if you wish but distracting them to move out of the way for the NPC seems easier to me because guards will find other dead guards and that means game over.
The NPCS are dumb as ♥♥♥♥ and it makes the game all that more hilarious to play. It's possible to hide in a bush less than an inch away from them whilst pulling a barrel towards you without them knowing whose doing it.

The game runs really well. There is a cool feature where you can control time so you can perfectly time your actions. I have a few issues with getting from your grappling hook to a platform sometimes but that's not really that big an issue when you can control time.
Having only played 1.4 hours so far I don't really know if there's a story... something about a girl called lily and some bird called "shadwen". The game does spout about some moral game choices like killing or distracting that will change the outcome of the ending, it does seem however if you kill just one person in a level the dialogue between missions with lily and shadwen is lily giving you a bollocking for killing, so if you can't bare being called evil then just distract people.

If you like to run around games and play with the physics and try to break games for your own comedic purposes, buy this in a sale, install it, load it up. it's hella fun in that sense. playing it sensibly would just get dull... fast

6/10 - Buy it in a sale/bundle

After enjoying and playing a lot of the first Amazing Spiderman video game, I assumed I would love this one and preordered for the extra suits.
I was wrong.

Lets start with the good bits.
You can swing from buildings.

Now, the bad.

If you have seen the film this game simply confuses you. You basically get given an entire different story to the film that seems like it was written with less thought and less time than this review. That was the main reason for my 29 hours on the first game that the game took place after the events of the film so it wouldn't have to try and follow a storyline that was already given so amazingly (heh, get it?) within the film.

I enjoyed the combat system from the first game as the developers actually tried to make different animations for the attacks and counter attacks, this time around it just seemed sloppy and lazily thought out.
The upgrade system is easily the worst i've encountered in the last 10 years, even the worst of games wasn't as terrible with their upgrades. You got given abilities and then had to spend "Tech Points" (A nice comeback from the first game) on the 4 upgrades for them. You got given about 6 or 7 abilites with 4 upgrades for each one and they're not even that great an upgrade, it's quite easy to go through the game ignoring the combat upgrades as the only useful ones were the travelling slingshot upgrade that took about 5 seconds to execute and within that 5 seconds you could of travelled further anyway. it was more of a gimick than an actual upgrade, something to impress the fans - Didn't work!

The web swinging was always the most fun of any spiderman game, Spiderman 2 onwards seemed to nail the webswinging, I even enjoyed the webswinging of the previous game despite not clinging to buildings. This game seemed to reduce my enjoyment. That slingshot was the only enjoyable thing about it and even that got boring after using it twice. your web reach was tiny so you were reduced to being never more than 3 meters away from the walls limiting your freedom. Spiderman also gave out a snide comment when he had nowhere to swing despite a building being right next to him, this just made me angry as it just seemed like another uncompleted feature of the game.

Continuing on from trying to impress the fans is the inclusion of a few great comic book villains, such as; Shocker, Kraven the Hunter, Black Cat, Kingpin, and the most impressive, Carnage.
Every boss fight was basically the same. punch kick punch punch, webpull, spidersense, webrush, punch some more. Every boss had some sort of difference, but they all seemed so last minute. Your first boss is the shocker from there you obtain his "seismic blasters" which only seemed useful to fight the kingpin 3 hours later. It took 4 seconds to charge up just to knock them down, when the enemies are down you have to wait for them to get up to attack. It was like being a superhero suffering from ADD and he just seemed to forget that he could of webbed a guy to the floor. This upgrade is not needed and was just another way to make fan boys jizz in their little spiderman pants.

Carnage. As great as it was to see cletus kasady, he seemed tame. He seemed less crazy than the 1995 spiderman cartoon casady and that was a cartoon! this is a video game rated 16! The carnage symbiote is meant to amplify everything about a person hence making kasady even more dangerous. There was no difference in his behaviour. Just his voice. It was as if someone just hit a distortion switch but there was no tonal difference. just a clear talking person saying he will kill spiderman.

As great as seeing some of my favourite spiderman villains in game, fighting them was more boring than watching slugs race. This game spits in the face of a spiderman fan and twists and distorts spiderman enemies into simple weakling incapable of landing one punch on the webhead.

I don't recommend this game and makes me think twice about preordering the next one from now on.

Brilliant game, lacking replay value or possibly a difficulty change. but it has free DLC and playing with your friend makes the experience so much better.
