This is a fantastic game. I would say it falls in line with pony island and Stanley parable. Its fun and clever. You feel really smart finishing the puzzles on your own. I do wish it was better at identifying what pieces have been used and may not need to be used again. I know that seems simplistic, but honestly at some point just remembering the patterns and trying to figure out whats a red herring vs a real clue was very difficult.

I would say as a final note I would not be mad at a walk through mode if you get stuck or a hint mode to help guide you a bit. I ended up using a guide to get the last 6 or so because I was kind of bored and felt blocked. I think the game is great fun and good for anyone who enjoys puzzles and escape rooms, but use the lights on the bottom left to decide what you have and have not done and if you get stuck use a guide even if its just to come up with some new ideas... Also on pc you can zoom. Didnt know that.

Good Game, not a great game, but fun looter shooter.

The story is mid and the bad guys are super lame. The biggest downfall of this game is that you are not in the cut scenes. Whenever there is a cut scene specifically bad guy cut scenes you are never there. I recognized too late that this had a lot to do with the custom characters and what not, but I would have preferred a generic character match instead of not showing up at all. It removes you from the game, or it did for me.

The game is fun overall, but honestly by the end like all looter shooters, just ready to be done. Final fight is a touch confusing on what to do, but when you figure it out, its a breeze. Honestly the Twin brother was the toughest fight for me... well that and the random end of battle deaths when there was no one to second wind. Outside of that its difficult, but not too difficult. I would recommend for basically anyone who likes this style of game.

I cant recommend this game. First it has crashed so many times on me. My comp is solid, drivers are updated, I dont have this issue with any other game, but for some reason it just hard crashes often.

Second the story sucks. God the main antagonist is absolute garbage. A person who is playing the victim, is way overpowered for being a person, and is trying to play the hero at the same time. Its difficult to talk about without spoiling, but the character is constantly blaming our lead Miles and acting like its all his fault while 100% being as much to blame if not more. You lied to me... but does the same thing. I am a hero, but blows up buildings. A literal walking contradiction, boring re-skinned character. I never knew the tinkerer, but lets just say they re-imagined that character. The story is lame.

Third where the first game was way bloated with too many sides and other stuff, this is very sparse. And still feels too long. I am at a point where I am 100% hate playing. I paid $30 and I was trying to hold off until it dropped to $20-25, I should have just held off. I stopped having fun within the first couple of hours, but hoped i would turn it around. But even trying to stick to only main missions still feels too long. Fast travel animation is boring. Swinging is not as clean as the first one and where I had some fun the first time around, by the end of the main story of the first game I was already fast traveling most of the time.

The fighting mechanics feel tight at first, but dear god nothing is more infuriating then being punched from off screen or shot while in an animation killing your streak. Also like batman, like the first game its punch punch dodge. You can do more, but no point. Additionally gadgets dont recharge fast enough. While sneaking around it would be cool to use the remote mine, but most of the time I have none left. Maybe I dont understand the mechanic that allows me to gain more, but its driving me nuts.

The game is stripped down. 4 gadgets as far as I can tell. Suits are kind of lame looking and you have to choose between cool looking skin or useful suit. A ton of stuff to do, but nothing important or fun, this is very similar to the first game. I will say having the camouflage and the indicator that someone is safe to attack makes stealth doable, but its take 10 minutes doing stealth with a high probability that you will get caught and end up fighting or take 5 minutes to fight. Just depends. Typically I bleed the herd and finish with a fight. But in the end most missions are punch punch block/dodge. I found the last third of the first game to feel very repetitive, I am finding this just as repetitive and boring.

In all reality the first game didnt need the DLC. It was a complete game and was already a bit bloated. The DLC was boring and every bearing. This game should have been the dlc and should have starting cost of $30. Honestly playing this made me realize i probably should just skip 2. So luckily I am saving quite a bit of money even though I feel I wasted $30.

Overall I am finding the mechanics boring. The story absolute garbage. The gameplay ok. And the stability is bad. I did love the first game... until I didnt. I found myself rushing the last half and hating playing the DLC. I thought my frustration was the DLC, but I am realizing the game itself is kind of boring. I dont know if you could do a lot more with this, but you could kill a lot of it and it would be a lot better. I am trying oh so hard to finish, but if it keeps crashing and the story keeps being absolute garbage. No reason.

I have been waiting to play this game forever. I held off because the price never dropped below $20. I finally saw it under $10 and I thought it would be a perfect game to grab for this holiday season.

Thirty minutes in and I dont think its for me. I hate the control scheme and while the mouse and keyboard feel better for aiming it feels much worst for the rest of the game. I think this game would work better for controller, but the button layout is just not for me. I know every game is going to be slightly different, but I do wish we could normalize the button layout for the basics like running and jumping.

My second complaint is the frame rate/graphics. I am not sure whats going on, but it seems slightly choppy and looks really bad for some reason, maybe I am at the point where I just need 1440p monitor and need to move away from 1080p, but its weird how bad it looked on a 3070ti graphics card and decent computer setup. I started messing around with bully last week, and graphically it feels similar.

I was just running through the tutorial and the game felt similar to Mirrors edge, but kind of less fun. The first jumping puzzle going from ledge to ledge was where I kind of got stuck, maybe I wasnt in the correct mindset, but I felt like I was hitting a wall and realized I didnt care. When I woke up I realized I really didnt care and realized I didnt want to waste my limited time on a game that isnt that fun and I dont want to force my mind into learning a controller scheme that feels off. So end of the day i requested a return for this game. If it happens cool, if not no stress. Maybe I will try this again in the future, but this one was not popping for me.

Great game. 8/10. The story is great. The gameplay is great. I like the little easter eggs in the final cut scenes. I was brought to tears in one of them, so it definitely did stuff correctly when it comes to emotions. Most of the of the game was near perfect with a few flaws in my mind.

Combat:
Very similar to Batmans Arkham. Not a bad thing at all, but has very similar shortcomings.
1. With so many actions tied to a few buttons there are many accidental actions that can cause large amount of self damage.
2. Unbreakable actions. Many times a bad guy is doing an attack that will shift the character around so they can finish the blow. Usually causes them to float or skate towards to hit you, though they were too far away to actually perform that attack
3. Mobs that are not harder, but rather many. Most of the game is just throwing as many bad guys at you as possible. So you are not really experiencing a larger challenge but rather just many bad guys at once
4. The fighting gets a little repetitive. With so many skills/gadgets/and suit powers it can feel fresh, but there are specific actions that become primary, you find your favorite power and gadgets and use them regularly.

Story beats:
Main complaint is just bloat. The story beats where you play miles and MJ are so unnecessary. You could shave some time off of the game while removing them. My other complaint is how they handled the extra villains. What they did with Tombstone is what they should have done with the rest. Focus on Li, Doc Oct, and Osborn and give the Tombstone treatment to the rest.

Side Missions:
Especially in the end game where the world is in pure chaos I would have tied city clean up to the roving gangs. Instead of always being shot at or sniped at as you clear out a roving gang you clean up that area and then it becomes less crime ridden and you are not shot at constantly.Imagine flying around seeing a large cap of baddies, shooting over there cleaning it up and now you dont get shot at in that area.

Overall a really fun game. i would highly recommend. I think they did what the movies have done in the past and threw the kitchen sink at the story rather than trimming it down and focusing. Definitely worth a play and looking forward to MM and other games in the future.

Personal gripe. The challenge tokens are not really fun and having so many suits, and suit enhancements tied to those is a huge bummer. There are two achievements I wont get because replaying the task challenges to miss it by a few thousand points when not missing a beat is not fun for me.

Its a short cute game. I love these small little story games. I have played a bunch. They vary in length and story, but they are very similar. Great art, great music, fun little story typically a mystery. I dont know what it is about these, but they are a favorite to play.

Donut County was recommended on a couple podcasts I listen to. While I thoroughly enjoyed the game, I did end up beating the game to completion with all achievements in 2.6 hours. The game was adorable but the story was forgettable. The humor was decent, and overall it was a lot of fun to play. This game was a perfect bite size snack of a game and feels like an indie game. great music and cute art. My only complaint is that the game is too short. I think if they could have added a few more puzzles it could have stretched it out. i got it on sale so I dont hate it, but even at the discounted price it almost feels a little too expensive. I still completely recommend it, and wouldnt mind a little more game in the future. Either way i will be following these guys and buy whatever they release next.

TLDR: This game was a good game. its more far cry and if you like far cry 3 or 4, you should enjoy this.

The gameplay was fun; clean shooting mechanics, fun driving mechanics, good shooter overall. I think the PC controls are a little wanky. Its clearly a game designed for console ported to pc. Truthfully I used the controller over the keyboard/mouse because it felt more natural. I messed around with remapping keyboard controls, but never found anything that felt right.

I think my biggest complaint is the story. While I think the theme is interesting, I think the story is kind of lame. More importatnly my frustration with the story beats. In previous games I would go through all side missions and clear out a map before going forward with the story. That is not possible in this game. I also hate all the various mind control things. It just drove me nuts. And the story was so drawn out. Every cut scene took forever and like I said I wasnt that into the story to begin with. I found myself skipping most of the story chunks half way through.

My final compaint is performace based. I might be the only person with this issue, but based on a 5 minute search and read through a few articles/forums, it seems like most people had a similar issue. The CPU was pinned non-stop. I have an i5-6600k process no OC, and it was pinned at 100% the entire time. I tried to change settings and figure out what could cause this issue, but I couldnt find it.

Overall, I enjoyed the gameplay. I love this series. Good clean shooting, but the story is always the weakest part. Unfortuantely after finally beating the game I dont know if I will go back and play anymore. I just couldnt get into the story enough to want to follow through and the last 5-8 hours kind of felt more like work rather than enjoyment.

Great game until the final boss. I originally bounced off of this game, but came back about a week ago. It was a ton of fun until a final boss.

Overall this game is pretty fun. The story is ok, not really important to the gameplay. The game play is pretty awesome. One downfall are the checkpoints. They are punishing. Though the check points suck I think the game is still pretty solid!! Defintiely worth a pickup. Has a similar puzzle feel to portal.
