As a huge fan of Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2, I've been waiting years for a worthy successor. Despite the mixed reviews, I held out hope for Evil Genius. Well, that hope was misplaced. This game is incredibly boring.

Let me start with what I actually liked: the setting. It has potential, and I really wanted to immerse myself in the world. But unfortunately, that's where the positives end.

The gameplay? A slog. In Dungeon Keeper, even if you’re waiting for something to finish, you can always explore, level up your minions, or engage with your dungeon in meaningful ways. But in Evil Genius, you literally just... wait. There's no engagement, no tasks to keep you entertained during downtime.

One of my biggest frustrations is how clunky everything feels. Dungeon Keeper is so intuitive: want to discipline a minion to work faster? Right-click and done. In Evil Genius, you have to click on your mastermind, choose the target, wait for the mastermind to walk over, and then sit through a slow animation. By the time it's done, half the people you wanted to intimidate have walked away. It’s unnecessarily slow and kills the vibe.

And don’t get me started on the pacing. In Dungeon Keeper, you always feel like you're progressing. Whether it's unlocking new rooms, managing resources, or dealing with incoming enemies, there's always something to keep you busy. Here, you're constantly waiting for timers to tick down, with little to do in the meantime. It feels like the game’s entire design is centered around stretching out time, rather than offering fun, dynamic challenges.

It’s so sad that there is so much effort put into this game. The assets and animations are awesome, but sometimes less is more! The game feels bloated with unnecessary steps and features that detract from the core experience.

If you're a fan of Dungeon Keeper like me, do yourself a favor: skip this one.

Started off luke warm to this game, but it has grown on me and I find it very enjoyable now. It is highly engaging and addictive. A huge drawback for me is that the bots are very poor, so playing solo can be extremely infuriating. The levels are well-designed with lots of variation and scenic views of the upcoming battles. Weapons feel powerful and satisfying, and the impact from your shots really shows on the zombies, which numbers can be outright ridiculous at times.

8.5/10

I was excited to try out Fallout 76, as many recent reviews have praised the game and Bethesda's efforts to "redeem" themselves. However, I quickly became frustrated with the experience. Despite being a fan of the Fallout universe, the constant reminders of the Fallout 1st subscription service and its benefits felt like I was playing a crippled version of the game. The game's graphics, even when playing in 4K ultra settings, looked dated and underwhelming.

What really put me off, though, was the in-game economy. After a few hours of gameplay, my gun broke and I discovered that the only way for me to repair it was to purchase repair kits with the "Atom" currency - a premium version of caps that can be bought with real money. This felt like a cheap and manipulative tactic to pressure players into spending more money.

Some may argue that I shouldn't have bought the game in the first place, but I hope this review will help others who are on the fence about purchasing Fallout 76. While some may enjoy the MMO aspect, the constant push to spend more money and the dated graphics made the game a frustrating experience for me, and I wouldn't recommend it to others.

I so wanted to like this, but the gameplay was just too cumbersome for me. The world map is like a maze and there is no fast travel. After a few trips between districts, I was too bored to pursue side quests that had me going far with respawning enemies in the way.
The loading times are slow, which is super annoying when you suddenly enter a door that (without warning) takes you to a loading-screen.

Can't really recommend this. It features great graphics with original and familiar settings, but all the houses are the same after a while, and exploring becomes so monotonous,

Totally holds up!
If you like unfolding lore organically and developing a character in a rewarding manner, this game is for you. It might scare ppl off with its dated graphics. But if you invest time in it it'll grab you.

The best immersion I've felt for a very very long time.
The world is absolutely astounding with its rich ecosystem and there are some absolute monsters at the top of the food chain.
I totally recommend you get it!

Call of Duty: Ghosts is an "on-rails shooter" in its single player campaign and... well I can't comment on its multiplayer since it crashes all the time when I try to launch it. And yes I have a pretty high end computer (GTX 1060).
Do not waste your money! The campaign is a jumbled mess of bombastic scenarios told through different timelines/people. Its primary focus is unbelievable action and cataclysmic scenarios, with a hint of creative gameplay at times. (especially where you climb a skyscraper). But it´s not worth it.
The dog mechanic is so stupid, the tempo is too high and...

Excellent multiplayer shooter! I love the fact that it's kind of cumbersome to handle your weapons in a realistic manner without ruining the flow of the game!
