Mostly doing this for the badge XP, but it is a great series that is even better on PC. The custom games shenanigans make me want to throw up from laughing my guts out. Would recommend to anyone.

The first time I played this game was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. Coming from a heavy Call of Duty background prior to playing, getting killed from a spawn peak seconds into the first round caught me off guard. The thing that makes a player succeed in this game is simply game knowledge. Gun skill will only get you so far if you get capped from a peak hole halfway across the map. While this can be tilting at first, the journey to becoming that spawn-peaking ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that killed you every round is a rewarding and extraordinarily fun experience that I am glad I went through.

People tend to come into this game with the wrong mindset. This is not a game where you can just boot it up and play a quick match like COD, or Battlefield, it's a game that requires commitment and endurence. I personally love this game for the kind of gameplay that it offers. This game is very grindy, which I enjoy, but everything except becoming a general can be obtained for free. Now, when I say this, it's not entirely true. You can level up a soldier to become a general, but it is next to impossible with the level 15 soft-cap. This game is also not very welcoming to new players, because of the weak semi-auto starter weapon. However, this weapon can be upgraded to become a very strong weapon. This is sort of the theme for this game. You start out weak, but if you keep trying and never give up, you can "get good."
