Are you missing oldschool retro horror games in the style of Silent Hill, Parasite Eve and Resident Evil with their unique aesthetic, fixed camera angle and pixaled charme? Then give Plastomorphoses a try.
The indie-game is an homage and love letter to the long gone CRT style video game graphics and also adapts modern ways of clue-finding to find a perfect symbiosis of retro-styled charmed and modern guided quest clues. Does it work? It does.

The story is very fragmented and confusing as you know it from this genre but the clues and fragments give you a lot of heart warming references to Silent Hill, Parasite Eve,, Clock Tower and books like Brave New World and 1984. The difficulty is medium to low, thanks to the options to choose between original-feeling tanky controls and modern control setting. Game controllers are not supported but work fine. If you ever get to the point that riddles might be to hard, there is also an option to visualize key items on the map (for me it saved my way findings because it also marked an exit haha).

The combat style is - thanks a lot - very fluent and self explaining. The enemy targeting system is precise and leaves no gap for frustration (saying this playing Silent Hill 2 simultaneously).
