I love this game! Put quite a few hours in it with my friends.
I'm giving it a no because of the developers. I have never seen such a lazy bunch as these guys.
3 years have passed and all they have to show for is a new biom.
The game has a huuuuge potential if they dedicate some time into an actual combat system and if they continue as planned with the rest of the content.

Multiplayer is janky af because the way scaling works.
the scaling, which I think is really broken and stupid, just for the sake of it.

If you have people within a 50 meter radius the mobs get higher hp and damage. I'm personally fine with them having more damage, but the HP increase is just absurd.... We play 4, sometimes 5 people. The amount of time it takes to kill a simple mob is just tedious, not even hard.... just takes up a lot of time and that's it.

We found that in case someone dies, all except one of us will leave the area.... This way all the mobs scale down to 1 player HP and DMG. That player clears the area until the dead people can return to loot their bodies.
depends on how many allies/friends are in the proximity.

All in all the developers have done too little considering how many funds they got at the release.
The community does waaaaay more.
Maybe in 10 years we will have the next 2 bioms as well.

This game redeemed itself, don't let the negative comments fool you!

Love the multiplayer, still some minor bugs but looking forward to see where the game goes with the continuous updates. Good job!

The good : Everything besides the AI

The AI : 1st encounter : "So happy to meet you, I will send a delegation with cookies/pancakes/caviar"
3 rounds later :" I declare war on you for no reason whatsoever" (even if they have 2 archers and you have 10 fleets of nuclear submarines)

Every single round after that they say "Im sorry, I offer you all my stuff if we can make peace"
You can either accept, in which case they will send you cookies and declare war on you again within couple of rounds. OR
You can destroy them, in which case every round they will offer everything they have over -& over again.

Being at war with everyone is more enjoyable, because if you're in peace with someone (which almost never happens, if you play on harder dificulties, which you should to enjoy the game) they spam you "offers" every round.
The offer is usually "you give me a bunch of stuff, i give you nothing, what do you say?" I click NO without reading it.

Amazing game with amazing fearures (better than CIV 5 in terms of mechanics), that has the most unlogical AI I've ever seen in a video game.
I only give you a thumbs up because I am a fanboy of the series and MOSTLY in hope that you will one day release a pachfix for the braindead AI.

P.S. I will not buy the exapnsion at $30 as long as the AI problem still lingers. As far as I've heard from people who bought it, the AI is having more dificulties adapting to the new loyalty/dark-golden ages/gouverment mechanics. Wait for a discount at least :( You make me sad devs..

Really enjoy the concept of this game.
In my opinion it's like a minimalist Civilization game where environmental elements can influence your victory conditions.
One of the few early access games that really puts effort in this with every patch.
