Hey there everyone,

I'd like to start by saying that I come from playing Darktide on Game Pass. Had a character at lvl 23 when I understood I enjoyed this game, and I want it on steam, because it's the way to go in my humble opinion.

So I find myself loving this game, that being said it's not perfect. It has some flaws. But how it's right now I'm okay and I see that Fatshark are improving the game, in a way I like.

I really enjoy getting in there and do missions, specially on Damnation, the game is intense but in a really cool way. And it feels so rewarding coordinating with your teamates, and you don't even have to speak to each other to know what to do, it's like a machine, you are a piece and your teamate it's another piece of it, and it runs with the effort of the four players.

The community is outstanding, I think I've not found such a chill community in a game, and I love it. Of course there's that guy but rarely, say 1 game from 50 games?.

I love when players role their character, it's superb. It makes it so fun to play with ppl like that.

And 98% of the players are quite chill, so I can get killed on a mission and be fine with it, sometimes even laugh it out when playing with friends.

Apologies because this isn't a super technical specific kind of review but more of an impression that this game has made to me.

I am happy with how this are right now on the game, I look forward for Fatshark to add more stuff. But (the new map? wow man that's something else)

They know how to put you in the skin of a human against hordes and hordes. In my humble opinion playing Damnation with high amounts of enemies, feels like the books from the Heresy, where the characters kill left and right. I do get that feeling, and stuff like that. I LOVE IT!.

I'm not saying you should buy it, I'm saying that I love what this game has to offer, and what I see that Fatshark can make. What I'd say is if you are on the fence to play it, check a youtuber playing the game on a high dificulty, and get an idea how it's then if you want to, try it. It's quite the ride :).

Edit: As of today 17/08/2023 I'm sorry but I'm changing my review to not recommend.

Do not get me wrong I do mean all the wall of text above. But it's been weeks and weeks that I don't feel like playing because I don't find appealing the endgame that this game has, which in my humble opinion is none, I'm sorry. I do think the gameplay is great and fun, it's.

However the pacing for the changes is really, really, really slow for me. They've added some minor quality of life changes that I welcome, putting all the resources shared across characters nice. But I'm afraid I just don't feel like playing and with a game like this I should.

Put around 400h to L4D 1 and 400h on L4D2, with this I mean that I like this kind of game. But again don't get me wrong, I think this game is fine if you wanna play for that 60h to 80h as of what is today.

If you are enjoying the game so far, good for you for real, bless your heart. I just feel like the game still needs more time. And that's why I'm changing my review. However I'm happy to change it to recommend, if the game gets to a point where it has a better state.

P.S Hope I change it back to recommend in the future, really do, because this game has a really fun gameplay, that just gets better with a bunch of mates that you can coordinate with.

Yeah I'm happy to have the cats on the ship yo. Might sound silly but I'm happy to support the developers on this amazing game. And those cats give me some nice vibes much needed for me right now.

Seriously astonished with this game, I didn't paid attention to it till a couple of days ago.
And I'm sucked in. I love it, plain and simple, the developers, voice actors from the main characters, give me the impression that they understant the setting. And it's like being in the movie Aliens. Seriously like that.

The tension, the options, again wow the voice acting is spot on. Love the Sgt. and the deputy but the rest of the crew as well. I'm so happy that we got something like this.

This game is so much fun for me that I tell you I don't like xcom. However I like Darkest Dungeon, and here with the stress mechanic, "trapping" yourself between 4 walls to have some relieve... just perfect.

Yo! we have a smoll shielded car that actually shoots and transports you.

I know this is anwafuly written review but, just deeply happy with this game.

I'd strongly suggest anyone checking it out and giving it a try. Watch the prologue and you'll get an idea. But let me tell you, there're many surprises forward on the game.

The bayou doesn't protect but ♥♥♥♥ you up, 5/7 game for me.

Leon and Claire protect.

Oh yeah, Leon protects.

It's good game enjoyable, but an alright remake for Resident Evil 4. Just saying that if I have to choose between the original and the remake, the original wins easily.

The voice actors do a really job, but the one that voices Ada, she fails plain and simple.

The Trader protects.

I wanted to support the devs since I quite like them, and I was interested on the game. However when I watched the 1h gameplay, I was absolutely hooked.

Now I've played a couple of hours and I'm having a great time, enjoying it so much. : ) if you like games like this war of mine, Frostpunk. I'd strongly suggest to give it a try.

I think devs have made a nice game here.

Now that I've finished the game, damn I can tell I love it!!! :D
