It is more than I could have hoped for.

The kb&m controls are so charmingly broken it took me an hour to find a decade old mouse fix that actually worked. Made me feel like I was playing DS2 on kb&m but somehow worse. The British lady who says "mouse fix loaded" at the start of the game has now Pavlov'd me into sweating uncontrollably.
Put this back on steam and remove controller support and don't restore online capabilities so the casuals have a top tier solo dark souls experience.
I loved having to press 3 keys to parry, made my cheeks clench in fear every time. 10/10 I prepared to die and saved Solaire every time. If someone with this game will share their library with you do it immediately.

This is 5 incomplete games in a trench coat masquerading as a finished product.
I hated the un-fun slog of a platinum for Wonderlands so much that I'm going to go platinum dark souls 2 for the second time as a palate cleanser.

Dark Souls 2 is a great game.

Very cool little game and definitely worth a play through.
