When Anakin says, "You underestimate my power!" he's saying, "It's only a small advantage, old man! I can too overcome it!"

And when Obi-Wan says to himself, "Don't try it," he's telling the audience that he realizes that Anakin has called his bluff, and he's going to have to seize this small advantage the only way he can. He couldn't end the fight psychologically; now he's going to have to end it physically, or give up his advantage. And he's sad about that.
