Not quite the space RPG I've been waiting for, but something quite akin to it! X3 and X4 can fulfill what this game has to offer and more. Given a choice I'd recommend them over Spacebourne. But this is still an incredibly fun space fighter/exploration game with a lower learning curve. The relatively low price tag is also a plus for what this game has to offer!

While there's not much you can do outside of your ship, the world itself feels quite alive with the NPCs! While primarily one would feel like engaging in space battles in combat ships, a good portion of the can be played as a trader with ships for large volumes of goods letting you make money in a very dynamic economy! Bulletin board, news delivering you the state of the various systems, tonnes of lore and even a section to determine your standing among the various major factions.

There's ups and downs to this game. But there are quite a few bugs as well. And you could also consider waiting for Spacebourne 2 to come out of early access as that game has a lot more content to offer and you wouldn't really be lost if you didn't know the story from the first. But as I stated earlier, it's quite good for the price.

Miyazaki practically created a whole game and called it a DLC. There's so much PACKED into this!
I love all the new weapon categories...There's just so much to experiment. And not to mention the new land to explore with plenty of new enemies.

Note: you really should grab the Scadutree Fragments and Revered Spirit Fragments and use them at Grace sites, otherwise both you and your summons will suffer immensely! You can get atleast five from exploring before encountering your first boss.

There a few things that spoilt my experience though:
- Noticed something when it comes to the Furnace Giant. I couldn't get it to fall even though I heard the sound that signalled it's stance being broken. It would just stand still as though frozen for a couple of seconds before resuming attacks. It fell only after consecutive 4-5 runs and then i could land the critical. I'm not sure that's supposed to happen
- Massive framedrops around water and when a large number of enemies die from AoE. This didn't happen before the DLC dropped, and I've been playing with a 4060Ti.
- Load screen freeze tend to occur a lot. Most of the time if you just waited a really long time it would eventually load, but sometimes I experienced CTD.

I hope these issues will be addressed.

The last time I played Crysis 2 it was on the PS3. And it wasn't exactly a great experience. So this remaster was something I was happy to play. Everything looks so much better and more well defined.

Although I've said "Yes" to whether I would recommend it, this review should be taken as a criticism rather than praise towards the game.

Let's start with some gameplay views: The nanosuit now functions a lot like the way it does in 2 and 3. Default is Strength mode and the suit regenerates energy only in this mode. Armor mode passively drains energy aside from taking hits.

The good news is, this can all be reverted by heading to Options --> Game Settings --> check mark Classic Nanosuit. Suit shortcuts is also something you may want to look at, as enabling Classic Nanosuit mode makes you unable to use the toggle keys to quickly switch modes. A mixed bag, but my preference is using the Classic Nanosuit.

As for the rest of the game. Quite a few graphics glitches are noticeable in many environments. A.I. behavior is not as refined as before and can end up behaving very strangely at times, or stuck in a spot especially if you reload a checkpoint near a patrol.

One pain point for me is that the game does not play all the dialogues properly. Like the in the final part on the aircraft carrier and in the mines there are missing some dialogues. Technically they are there in the game but the game proceeds too quickly before they can play. Can be rectified somewhat with some xml edits but we shouldn't have had to.

Biggest owie for me is during the final fight on the carrier deck against the mothership. Very often one of two things or both will occur: 1. Psycho and Helena don't disable the shields even if all hostiles have been cleared, and this can happen for either of the "arm" shields. 2. The boss will be stuck continuously using its freezing beam for several minutes non-stop leaving you on a constant loop of being frozen, unfrozen and refrozen even on the easiest difficulty. Eitherways you have no choice but to reload the checkpoint.

So, if given a choice, I'd recommend you get the original Crysis from GOG which incorporates a fix for the executable.

I will say this much for the game though: the looks have definitely been touched up and a lot of places and objects are certainly more detailed and more beautiful. VFX also improved. But yes, buggy.

In a nutshell, this game is like a cross between Ace Combat and Another Century's Episode games (the latter is another mecha game series produced by From Software, incredibly fun and easy to get into). The Ace Combat references are incredibly pointed and almost blatant, lol! I like that. And of course plenty of Gundam references, ideas from weapon designs to even terminologies. This game can keep you engaged for hours upon hours with all that it has to offer. Including the game modes aside from the story campaign - and YES, it can be played in single player mode!

There are three main game Modes:
1. A Story Driven campaign where you play as various characters in different factions.
2. A Survival Mode where you fight waves of enemies from simple drones to other battle frames and even warships.
3. A Warfront mode which allows you to use and upgrade various units, including unique character units over different scenarios such as straight up battle against enemies, or base defense, base assault etc. Unlike the campaign mode however, this mode provides resources and upgrades to your units to better their performance. And you'll have to unlock them as you increase your rank. Overall front gives you plenty of entertainment and more play time without the frills of the story mode. You can even get to use units which you normally don't get in the Story mode as well as get similar units with some cosmetic changes.

For the story mode, plot is ..er...ok. Nothing much to write home about. But I was laughing all the way at the many Ace Combat references and quotes! I liked it I really do! Also, I do appreciate that you get to explore the story through each faction's side. So you're not a silent protagonist or any one character. That's both good news and bad. Bad news because you can't do any self-inserts. All the characters have their own quirks, own dialogues, thoughts and stuff. No decisions are in your hands. You're just here to control the mech. Like I said it's both good and bad depending on how you take it.

The controls are a bit iffy though and can take some getting used to. But once you do, you can thoroughly see each mech for its true strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, the Transformation ability is one you almost never use. One being that it's relegated to only one unit which you don't pilot often other than in survival. Additionally, the piloting control of that unit in its transformed state is quite stiff and not very responsive.

Overall it's fun and entertaining. You maybe a bit disappointed by the model design and quality, but with what the game has to offer overall, this is a very good indie mecha title that you have to play if you're a mecha game lover!

Quite a different experience! Refreshingly so. It has quite a number of ways to engage enthusiasts of visual novels, rpgs and fans of dating and affection systems. An unexpected find of an Indie title!

IMO This would have been my GOTY at The Game Awards this year. But we can't have everything. The most fantastic game that I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy this year. With EXCELLENT replay value, visuals, gameplay and such an amazing soundtrack! This is the Armored Core game I've been waiting for, for so long. I grew up on Ace Combat, Armored Core and Another Century's Episode series(this one is another mecha action series by From Software, but extremely easy and entertaining)

9 / 10

The graphics are gorgeous, the machines are even more epic than ever! And plays beautifully even on older GPUs!

Now first important thing: If you think you're good at the more well-known titles of From Software, namely Dark Souls series, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring, do not think that you'd easily get used to Armored Core. It's a completely different ball game like soccer and basketball.

[Cue Giancarlo meme: You started playing Armored Core because you like From Software's Soulsborne. I started playing Soulsborne because I like From Software's Armored Core. We are not the same.]

In all seriousness, if you're into mecha action and love sweat dripping challenges, as well as building the most ideal mechs that would put those in movies to shame, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is for you!

That being said, this particular Armored Core is far more lenient than the past titles. Replaying missions you've already cleared, gives you the same payout as your first time or better depending on your performance!

Bit of a spoiler: One playthrough is not enough for Armored Core VI. And I'm not simply talking about endings. The Second round (New Game+) unlocks a lot of new missions, and the third round unlocks even more missions!!! So three fresh playthroughs, is what it's gonna feel like! And with a fully loaded Armored Core, that's win-win all the way! Massive replay value for this title!!!

Now I'm hoping From Software brings Another Century's Episode series to the international players!! But that's almost definitely never gonna happen.

Nice. Although I wish Sarge from Quake 3 Arena was the main character here though. Not a fan of the Dark Matter Gun.

A brilliant and refreshing new take on one of my favorite JRPG series since childhood. Especially after Zestiria and Berseria which had great potential but fell short in their stories and pacing. This game has it all. A party of extraordinary people each with their own story, their own talents and roles to fulfill. A fantastic story and a whole new battle system. Takes a bit of getting used to but you shouldn't have much trouble. Whether you're new to Tales or not, this is a great game that should be on your must-play list!

Winner of Best RPG and The Game Awards 2021 for all the right reasons!
