As of today 2016-06-04 I can not recommend this game for newcomers. I can only imagine the endless none rewarding grind.

Me personally have played for over a year and I dislike what Trove has become, but am I suprised? No not at all! This is typical TRION bullshittery, playerbase goes down and they will do anything they can to milk cash out of the remaining playerbase instead of trying to fix their game. Most of the new stuff they add will be untradable and they are taking the route "Its YOUR journey." instead of the old route they had, "Trade anything, play with anyone. Get friends and have a nice time grinding." Just recent they put the Class gems behind the same wall "Untradeable" and frankly you kinda need it to get somewhere in the game.

They wrecked many things with the patches during latest months, removing core items so they are now super rare, everything to make current players play more instead of trying to fix their game and inviting new ones.

Review might change in the future but I wouldn't get my hopes up, the history of Trove has the proof.
