boring, empty, buggy.

Having thoroughly tested the teaser, here are some of my thoughts:

1. I think you should be careful to stay as close to the original as possible. That means: Feel free to remake, but make sure that the players of the original game recognize places and characters throughout the game. Diego for example changed a lot and I think the majority of the original-players think that he has become - sorry - a douche.

2. Speaking of characters: The nameless hero was pretty much perfect back in the days. We don't need to give him names ("rookie") or make him powerful enough to fight wolfpacks and colonists right from the start of the game. I think the hero should start as a blank page, not as a passable worrior who knows how to fight and how to take animal trophys right away. He has to have a rough time. Also I think that he is speaking far too much and even to himself. That honestly reminded me on bad actors in bad movies, who aren't able to show feelings without constantly putting it into words e.g. speaking to themselves. And finally: He wants his beard back :).

3. At the first minute of the game I started worrying that you would recreate gothic as an action title. That worry settled later, but nontheless: I dont think that there are any explosions needed right at the start of the game. Why not stick to the old beginning? Get thrown in there, get punched to unconsciousness, get going and try to kill things bigger than a meatbug.

Other than that I think you did things pretty well and I see lots of potential. I would definately try the remake if it was released! I am very happy to hear that you are trying to revive the beloved gothic series!

Nice game. Pretty tough for beginners, though.
Be warned.
Still: I am not much into games like this, too and I am having a lot of fun with it!
Totally recommended.

Notice: Get your hands on a controller if you aim for full enjoyment.
