I enjoyed it. It's a point and click type story game. It was like a documentary with history lessons built into a game. Good story and interesting characters. It's a bit short but entertaining nonetheless.

The melee/medieval combat game we've been waiting for.. I was a big fan of the first Chivalry and also played Mordhau. This game has really fine tuned the combat and made it more fun and accessible. In the first Chivalry people exploited mechanics to do annoying spin shots and the skill ceiling was pretty high. This game has a high skill ceiling as well, but it's easier to hop in and have fun.

There are good maps, matchmaking, and dedicated servers (and yes that includes duel servers). The objectives are fun and they're addictive so you keep wanting to play another round. I hope they add more maps with future updates and maybe add more cosmetic customisation. I also think it would be interesting if they add a new gamemode where the 3 teams (Agatha, Mason Order, and Tenosia) can play against each other all in the same server (3 team TDM or objectives).

Also if you get hit by a catapult, your body flies across the map, 10/10.

This is a brief and interesting game for history buffs, especially if they know a bit about Mossadeq and Iranian history. It's really just a story telling game in which the player, a cat, oversees the events surrounding the 1953 coup in reverse direction, starting with Mossadeq's death. The game is very short but the artwork is phenomenal: the story is told in the backdrop of Persian miniatures and Shahnameh-style art.

Overall, good game.

The game can be frustrating when you are new because there are new-player servers like there were in Chivalry.

The movement is excellent, but the combat feels more challenging and intricate than Chivalry, but at least you rarely see players spin-abusing here. Getting kills is also more satisfying.

There are enough players to sustain new gamemodes, but there aren't any. The main objectives mode, "frontline", is not very fun to be honest. The objectives are bland and do not compare to chivalry. Also, the map "crossroads" which unfortunately is played too often in matchmaking, never seems to finish. It's ridiculously lengthy for one team to finish the 2 or so objectives.

Frontline aside, TDM and DM are amazingly fun. Duels are better than they were in chiv. Some weapons are OP IMO.

Played this game mostly before it came to steam, in closed and open betas. It has improved a lot since then.

Highly optimized, the game runs as smooth as Q3 if you meet the requirements. The game is faster than ever and the champion idea is refreshing. Weapons are crisp, and fragging /w a railgun is mre satisfying than ever. The ragdoll physics remind me of HL2 and CS:S, it's hilarious when you blast someone dead because their bodies go flying.

Matchmaking is fast, lots of people playing. A bit unbalanced though, and lacking variety in gamemodes as of June 2018 (DM, TDM, instagib), but they are adding more. If they add back CA/rocket arena and CTF it will be golden.

Honestly when this game leaves beta I think it can be one of the best quake games ever. That's a major accomplishment.

If arena-shooters get big again, I will bet you it will be because of this game - when it is released of course.

This game accurately plays based on CPMA (quake 3) style movement, making it insanely fast paced.
This is the only game I can say is faster than Quake Live, which means a lot.

As an early access game, it already has its core movement/gameplay absolutely perfect. There isn't a thing I would change. The most amazing netcode I have ever seen in a game in my life, and it runs so smooth it is actually refreshing to play the game.

The gameplay is so perfect, but obviously the other aspects of the game such as art/textures, gui, social, etc. need a lot of work but that's okay because the game is only early access.

Chivalry Medieval Warfare is the best melee/medieval/sword-fighting combat game you can possibly get out there.

The combat is more tactical and advanced then any other games: making getting kills rewarding and fun.

Whether you choose to play on normal game modes or classical duel gamemodes and custom maps, the game is all around fun.

Pros:
+ Great combat system
+ Dedicated servers
+ Unique classes that each are important to a team with interesting play styles
+ Big battles
+ Fun gamemodes
+- Relatively good community

Cons:
- Official servers may sometimes be laggy
- Could use some more gamemodes and/or maps
