Hey, don't be sad. Sometimes I lose, sometimes I pull out swift slash. No big deal.
I'm the Dark Souls equivalent of riding a black cack, down the side of an erupting cack, while drinking from a cam, filled with the laughter of small children.
And no, it's not meant to make people mad , it's actually refreshing to challenge and lose while wielding these claws and see how some players find a consistent way to close the distance and counter them, for now the casual arena win ratio is about 90%+ because most dare to try R1 spam against it or are too slow to dodge these shotgun burst->instant R1 after enemy roll. Or lose patience in general.
But anyway, I hope that explains your confusion a bit, I hope your next fights will have a better, actually skilled opponent with closer distance connection!
Have a good day!
