Lots of rocks

I have found absolutely nothing interesting about this game. You play through like 3 somewhat interesting scenarios, and that's it. There's nothing to do in survival mode. Gameplay on its own is mind-numbingly boring. The only remotely positive thing about this game is that multiplayer is sometimes interesting. It seems more like a physics engine than a game.

This game is amazing. I legitimately enjoy the base game a lot. However, what's less amazing is how the game is going. Extinction was mediocre at best, and Genesis is not only unfinished and buggy, but is barely even ARK. But I won't go into that. The base game is great. It's a little bit of a grind, but it continues to be fun and exciting. However, I do have to warn you, the game is becoming increasingly buggy. With every update, they manage to break something, and you usually have to turn to mods to fix it.

Flying dinos are currently not ridable. That fricking sucks. The map is also divided into 5 parts, which are pretty cool, but they cannot be accessed without teleporting to them using HLN-A. This is pretty annoying. Also, the ability to teleport with your items to a general area in each region removes almost any need for pack dinos. I believe that their purpose in removing the ability to ride flying dinos was entirely to prevent players from seeing how small the map really is. Also, the whole missions thing literally doesn't allow you to use your own weapons, you have to use those provided. This DLC is one of the few that I genuinely didn't enjoy playing. I believe that a better idea after the unconventional Extinction DLC would have been to make a relatively normal map, like making the ocean region it's own map, which I would have thoroughly enjoyed, especially with the new giant turtles. It also feels like the production was extremely rushed, as it has a ton of glitches that I found within a few hours of playing. I don't recommend this DLC, at least not until they fix some of the major problems in it.
