Psychonauts (the first game) was a very special experience for me, and after clearing this game completely, I can safely say this second game expanded in every possible way on the first. This isn't just a video game, this is a labor of love, and I'm glad Double Fine returned to work on this with the help of crowdfunding. The result is extraordinary. Gameplay, art direction, mind-blowing plot twists and turns, continuity from first game, everything is here, and I enjoyed every second of it.

This game deserves its high rating and praise. The satisfaction of revisiting previous areas with new upgrades, not only to grow stronger, but to discover more lore and secrets about the game, never waned for me. I enjoyed every moment of playing Ender Lilies, and it is absolutely worth the grind. I have never played a Souls-like game before, and am not usually the best, but I had a desire to stick with it, even when some bosses proved ridiculously difficult. Like a cruel teacher, the game gives you the test first, and the lesson after. But it was absolutely worth it to explore this game inside and out. I'm not sure if I will do New Game+, as I have 100%'d the achievements already, but the music, the combat, the artstyle, the storytelling details, the atmosphere and worldbuilding, it's all here. This is one of the few times I have absolutely no complaints about a game that I have purchased on Steam. Phenomenal, through and through.

So far, I am really enjoying this game. Walking around doesn't feel cumbersome because there is enough lively scenery and NPCs to interact with, at least in the overworld hub areas that are largely non-hostile, which makes the world feel fleshed out. Combat is decent, feels rather stiff however, I have a hard time with timing dodges and it doesn't control as fluidly as the graphics and aesthetic suggest. I wish enemies would drop more of the tokens used for obtaining combat skills/new combos though (this was fixed in a recent update). Also, it's fully playable on launch! More than we can say for other cyberpunk-themed games...

So much genuine fun to be had with this game. Not too much of a learning curve in my opinion, but of course, I played the first game, and though there are new challenges in 3D, as long as you keep strafing and keep your wits about you, you'll be fine. Devs have only further improved on everything with the sequel, and playing over the past two years with the content updates has been very rewarding. You will get back your money's worth tenfold.

Initially, as I played this game, I felt unimpressed, and thought the game was a modern but uninspired recreation of System Shock 2. However, that was definitely shortsighted of me. I'm probably halfway through the story right now, and I have been enjoying everything about the game so far, from the gradual increase in power and combat/exploration options to suit different styles of play, to how the game mechanics are woven into the actual story lore, and vice versa. This is a well-produced game, and I am enjoying every second of it, every aspect. My only regret is that I'm playing on a mid-tier laptop, and have to settle for below-average graphics settings just to enjoy a decent 45+ FPS framerate.

Absolutely worth the purchase.

Even though my laptop can only play this at a reasonable FPS rate when I turn all the settings down as low as possible, the gameplay exceeds my expectations enough that it warrants a stellar recommendation! If you are at all familiar with the Resident Evil series, this is a must-buy, and if not, you should still consider buying this game if you enjoy horror games where you get to fight back effectively.

This game has one of the most ridiculously infuriating learning curves I've ever experienced. I constantly ragequitted, only to come back the next day and try again. When I finally finished a run entirely, I felt like an absolute god. Just stick with it, and you'll understand why this game is so highly praised. The game engine and the way every pixel matters is phenomenal. This game is truly a labor of love, and will offer you some tough love as well, but you have to give it more than a couple tries, just like any solid roguelike game.

Like any solid idle game should, Leaf Blower Revolution has successfully created another crippling addiction for me to wrestle with. The premise is original and relatable, and the upgrade mechanics give a true sense of progression. I do not recommend this game for those who are trying to practice their time management skills in terms of their academic/professional career, because this game will definitely get in the way of such an endeavor.

I found Fallout 3, New Vegas, and even Fallout 4 to be generally highly entertaining in terms of gameplay, gun play, RPG elements, etc, but what pushes New Vegas above and beyond is the world-building and narrative elements and writing. It may be somewhat dated in terms of graphics, but there are plenty of mods to bring the graphics up to modern standards; personally, I've never cared too much about graphics in the first place. New Vegas is an excellent work of art, and my only complaint would be about the lack of a post-game. Again, there are mods for that, but having the post-game ability to expand the New Vegas Strip and build settlements to support whichever faction you were a part of would be nice.
