KATSUDON

INGREDIENTS
▢2 center-cut
(boneless pork chops, pounded down to a centimeter thick)
▢salt and pepper
▢flour (for dusting)
▢1 egg
▢1 cup panko
▢oil (for frying)
▢1/2 cup dashi stock or chicken stock
▢2 teaspoons sugar
▢1 tablespoon soy sauce
▢2 teaspoons Mirin
▢2 large eggs
▢1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
▢2 servings steamed white rice
▢1 scallion (chopped)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Season the pounded pork chops with salt and pepper, and dust with a light, even coating of flour. In one shallow bowl, beat the egg. Put the panko into another shallow bowl.

2. Add thin, even layer of oil to a cast iron pan or skillet over medium heat. The oil is ready when you throw a panko breadcrumb into the oil and it sizzles. Dip the pork into the egg to coat. Transfer the pork to the panko and press it evenly into the meat to get a good coating.

3. Carefully lay the pork chops in the hot oil and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side, until golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for another 5-6 minutes. Drain on a plate lined with a paper towel.

4. While the pork is resting, add the stock, sugar, soy sauce, and Mirin to a small bowl. In another bowl, lightly beat 2 eggs. Add a tablespoon of oil to a pan over medium heat, and add the sliced onion. Fry the onions until they’re translucent and slightly caramelized.

5. Pour the stock mixture over the onions. Slice your tonkatsu into pieces and place on top of the onions. Drizzle the egg over everything. Cook over medium low heat until the egg is just set. Serve over bowls of steamed rice, and garnish with scallions.

TAKOYAKI

Ingredients:
1. Eggs
Eggs make up the majority of the batter and help it get crisp.

2. Flour
Flour binds everything together into a very loose batter.

3. Dashi powder.
Dashi powder is what gives the batter it’s flavor – it’s a simple shortcut way of incorporating dashi (Japanese soup stock) into the base. You can buy dashi powder in the Asian grocery store or online. It adds a bunch of flavor and umami.

4. Soy sauce.
This is just to add some extra flavor.

5. Octopus/tako
The reason why we’re here! You can buy already cooked tako at the Asian grocery store in the seafood section. Cut the tako up into cubes.

6. Green onions
These add a bit of freshness to the takoyaki.

7. Tenkasu
Tenkasu is tempura bits! They add texture and aroma. If you don’t have any (they sell them in bags at the Asian grocery store) then you can sub in rice krispies.

8. Takoyaki sauce
A thick brown sweet and savory sauce.

9. Kewpie mayo
This is essential and gives your octopus balls that iconic look.

10. Bonito flakes
These flakes are what make your takoyaki look like it’s dancing! They are delicate, paper thin shaved dried fish that wave around from the hot steam. They are super savory.

11.Seaweed.
A little green sprinkle of powdered seaweed.

How to make takoyaki
1. Mix the batter up with a whisk making sure there are no floury bits.

2. Prep. Prep all of the fillings. Cut up the octopus, slice the green onions and make sure you have everything at the ready: a little dish of oil, all your ingredients, some skewers to flip the balls, and a plate to serve on. Heat up the pan.

3. Pour and fill. Generously oil the pan with a brush or a paper towel dipped in oil. Give the batter a whisk then pour into the individual compartments all the way up to the top. It’s okay if they overflow a bit. Add in the fillings and let cook until the edges start to look more solid and opaque.

4. Flip. Use your skewers to turn the takoyaki 90 degrees. If they don’t easily move, they need more time to crisp up. Once they’re at a 90° angle, pour in a bit more batter to ensure a super round ball. Let cook, stuffing in any excess batter that’s outside the ball, then turn again. You should have a round ball. Cook until the balls are crispy and brown, moving the balls around from mold to mold to evenly cook (this is because most pans will have uneven heating). As the balls crisp up, it will be easier to flip them.

5. Sauce. When the balls are golden and crisp, pop them on a plate and brush with takoyaki sauce and squeeze on some mayo.

6. Finish with a sprinkle of bonito and aonori. Enjoy!

Croque Madame

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Make Mornay sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and stir until fragrant, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and add salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Bring to a simmer, whisking constantly, and cook until sauce thickens, 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Gruyère. Let cool 10 minutes.
Step 2
Assemble Croque Monsieurs: In a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat, toast bread on both sides until lightly golden. Spread half tablespoon butter on each slice, then flip over two slices and spread each with 1 teaspoon mustard and 1 tablespoon Mornay sauce. Top each mustard slice with 3 slices ham, ¼ cup Gruyère, and remaining bread slices. Evenly spread tops of each sandwich with 2 tablespoons sauce, and sprinkle with remaining Gruyère.
Step 3
Transfer skillet to oven and cook until cheese is melty and top is golden, 15 to 18 minutes.
Step 4
In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Crack eggs into skillet and fry until whites are set, 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and top each sandwich with an egg.

Outstanding Storyline

Presenting a world that is 30 times larger than the previous game, many people call The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt the game with the most extensive game world. Besides that, the solid gameplay and interesting storyline are other excellent features offered by CD Projekt RED. For those who immediately play The Witcher 3 without playing the two previous games, you don't need to worry because the consistency of the story is maintained. The story in this game stands alone with a prologue, climax and epilogue that is still easy to follow so you won't get confused. Even the dialogue options are equipped with detailed info that brings gamers closer to the characters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Gameplay

Battling in The Witcher 3 is fairly easy: all you have to do is swing your sword, dodge when necessary, roll to avoid attacks, and so on. But the simplicity of the battle system doesn't make The Witcher 3 easy to master, because this game has a high difficulty level of various potions and skills that are suitable for combat. The minus is the movement of Geralt.

On the other hand, each monster that appears has a different movement and appearance according to its lore, so you have to prepare Geralt carefully. To survive the fight, you have lots of resources to use, such as Oil to Potions which have various side effects. and bestiary to find out the weakness of monsters. When fighting, your chance to access 5 variations of magic or Sign depends on the situation at hand

Side Quest

the Side quests that you can undertake are presented in awesome conversations that are sometimes interspersed with cutscenes that add to the excitement of playing. Side-quests also have a big role because in addition to adding EXP, money, or items that are important for your trip, each task provides its own unique addition to the story in The Witcher 3.Contracts are also quite interesting for you to run because these side quests can turn you into a detective. , because you are required to do an investigation first, look for evidence, then solve the mystery that surrounds it. There is also a mini-game Gwent in the form of a card game which - although it acts as a sweetener for the main game - is very fun to play.

Worlds and Graphics

There are two main areas in Wild Hunt namely Velen and The Skellige Isles, and for the rest, the developer prepares a variety of smaller areas to explore. The main location called Northern Realms where our hero adventures is the location with the most vibes than any other location. The area is also polished with a less cartoonish feel, but more detailed and natural. Wild Hunt carries graphic visuals that, as mentioned earlier, are awesome to look at (even live in!). Not only is the visualization of the world amazing, this game also excels in terms of interaction where each NPC and even the monsters are designed in detail and have smooth animations.

So The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an RPG that not only provides an exciting gaming experience, but also the seriousness of the complex gameplay which in my opinion is one of the best games of the year. So yeah it's totally worth it.
