The Battle Pack 1 DLC requires the Fire and Rubble DLC to work.

This information is not included on the Steam product page for the DLC.

This information is also not included on the Matrix product page for the DLC.

Both only mention the base game.
You have to go to the Battlefront website to find the requirements to find out.

https://www.battlefront.com/red-thunder/cmrt-battle-pack-1/

“Requires Base Game (Game Engine 4) and the Fire and Rubble module”

“ In order to use Battle Pack 1 you must have a licensed installation of Combat Mission Red Thunder Game Engine 4 and the Fire and Rubble module. CMRT Game Engine 3 users must first purchase and install Upgrade 4 before attempting to license Battle Pack 1.”

Romans, addictive, occasional humor, good graphics and polished.

Apart from the “you still don’t get it, do you” lady it is luckily not filled with female Legionaries, which would have spoiled the immersion (like Conquistadors). It is still a culturally obligatory narrative, but one that is enjoyable enough not to be obtrusive.

LIke some Legionaries in camp describing their object of scorn as a “small d cked bully” NPC’s have all kinds of great dialog as they chat with each other. That really adds to the atmosphere.

Devs have come a long ways since their previous two Expedition games.
Easy to get into the basic learning curve.
Nice visuals.
Much better tactical GUI.

One more (side) quest, one more fight…

After 24hrs I can say I like the game. It is a good tbs W40K title.
In terms of experience it mixes Dawn of War and Sanctum Reach.
Looking forward to further development of the title, the engine is worthy of more battles.
Happy with my purchase, getting my money’s worth.

Early Access Review
Muito Bom!
Looks like moving to the Madness engine was a good idea.
Everything we expect from Reiza, with an emphasis on the lesser known Brazilian path, with a splash of historic and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of good physics.

Note this is EA.

PS. I really miss my Reiza favorites - Copa Petrobras de Marcas and the Boxers.
This really hurts my “love-o-meter” feeling.

Highly recommended!
Been playing this game in my off hours since its release (mostly non Steam standalone version),
WW1 has that one more turn quality that keeps you playing for hours on end.

The more I play the more I am enjoying all the details.

I am playing with the IronX graphics mod.

Solid new game in the Strategic Command series and a deserving sequel to the classic WW1 title.

Bought rFactor 2 years ago from ISI, way before Steam, around the original release - dunno what year.
Although I reallly liked some of the content - especially the 60-ies tracks and cars - the game never ran as smooth or looked as nice as I wanted, some of that was just the state of PC hardware, but the AI also left something to be desired and I won’t even discuss the UI.

Skip I don’t know how many years, a Steam release and even a new developer 397 AND (after a single lap with pCars 2 on Spa in a Formula Renault and a Vive VR set) I recently bought a Rift. What a difference those years and VR make, my system is able to run the game at a setting I like and although the visuals are not pCars 2 level eye candy, the simulation is better, making for a great gaming experience! The UI still is not ideal and there is no fluff nothing, but oh what a great racing sim. What makes rFactor 2 even better is the amount of mod tracks and cars available - almost endless racing fun (although there is some variation in quality).

Still love the old Spa track, but driving modern cars - especially those made by ISI and 397 is just as nice.

So after all these years I finally have the game experience that I always wanted and to return the favor I bought the GT3 car packs and will probably get the GTE pack next month.

8/10

UI and relatively high price of DLC (few liveries) keep me from giving a higher rating. But damn this is a great VR racer!

Just an early recommendation.

Very much enjoying my first play - veteran setting , 1939 start, now March ‘41 as I work up to Barbarossa and the Pacific war, also I have just landed in North Africa as the British take Tobruk early because I forgot to reinforce the defending armies and corps for one turn. Early aggressiveness in China cost me a couple of armies and corps in the meat grinder, but I am slowly pushing the Nationalists back - it is very similar to the previous title and that is a good thing. Only possible down side is the lower hex resolution, roughly half compared to the War in Europe, increasing the chance of congesting the battlefield as there is no stacking. Sometimes this plays like a shuffle puzzle (EDIT: you can swap units in position using SHIFT - as explained to me by the developer and stated in the manual).

Solid experience, happy with my purchase and looking forward to continuing my campaign.

Additional notes:

Renaming units - check, so if you want to go 2nd SS Panzer Korps, go ahead.
Purchasing - check, you go the the tab, purchase a unit, wait until it is ready to be deployed.

No, no it not a John Tiller wargame, but neither is War in the East, War in the West or any Decisive Campaign game. JTS has a diffrent focus, apples and oranges.

AI turn times, too slow? No, it may take a couple of minutes, but how much time did you take as a human Intelligence? Depending on the situation, but it will always more than the AI. I’d rather have a good AI than a fast one. That said, the AI in World at War is anything but slow compared to similar games.

One of the better race simulations on the market.

Still some room for optimization, but you are getting next gen graphics that demand a powerfull rig to run at the highest settings at high resolution (1440p and up). Probably the most demanding racing sim of the moment.

Same for VR (which is another recommendation).

This game will last for the next 5 years at least.

...starts planning for next PC update!

Maybe not perfect, but loads of fun with local multiplayer.

My boys and and me were having a ton of laughts while figuring out the controls and ending up fighting in the ring.

Haven't played an NHL title in more than a decade, but the controls are fine for beer and pretzels. Running fine on my system.

Was a bit apprehensive judging by the ratings, but the forum was mildly positive and actual gameplay confirms that for some this game can be a ton of fun. At least recommended for local multiplay of the couch type.
