So there's not like an in the middle option but overall the game is enjoyable.

Pros:
-Nice art style
-the string mechanic is pretty unique
-for me it fills a hole that other shooters just don't touch
-the only "gacha" is for skins, characters are earnable for just playing so no p2w

Cons:
-every map is ripped and reskinned from other games. some have slight changes but not enough to avoid a lawsuit
-there's been a lot of just blatant racism which isn't on the game itself but seems more the devs lack of caring since it feels like reports mean nothing
-have run into a few hackers which considering the game is fairly new, doesn't look great. Also see the above point about the reports.
-some characters need a look at balance-wise and some are just more annoying to your team than they are help

So yeah, the game is enjoyable and I will play it until it gets taken down for copyright infringement. Definitely just a great casual game.

So I don't have a lot of time in the full release, but I played a lot of the betas and tests n such.... enough that full release left me disappointed. I had relatively high expectations for this game after my initial play in the betas but soon after full release I realized this game was not going to respect my time or my wallet. The drop rates are pretty abysmal and the prices are egregious. I'll compare it to Warframe since it's the closest thing I can think of in terms of how the game systems work. So in Warframe to double character mod capacity you can buy it for 20 premium currency which is roughly USD $1.50 which for sake of arguement we'll point out the smallest platinum amount you can buy is 75 for USD $5 , in TFD they're around 1500 premium currency which is roughly USD $30 (assuming you do two different purchases of premium currency to just get what you need) or USD $50 if you only want to do a single purchase and just have some left over. That's 20x the price. The difference is that in Warframe there's trading so I can earn that currency in-game if I want to spend my time farming and trading to save myself time on certain things later, but in TFD I'm forced to choose between doing a farm that is so mind numbingly boring or to spend money that I'd rather spend on like a nice meal for example. On top of the monetization issues, the lack of consistency in performance is just wild to me. I could run the game perfectly on my pc that definitely doesn't meet minimum or suggested spec (it died due to unrelated issues), but on my pc that does meet above minimum specs the game is basically a slideshow. So even if I wanted to ignore the monetization and just deal with what the drop rates are, I couldn't because I literally can't even see the game. Overall I'm extremely disappointed in the game and couldn't in good faith recommend it to friends to play.

Super fun game!

So at the time of writing this review I only have 6 total hours in the game and I'd like to start off by saying that I absolutely would have loved to play more of it. However in those 6 hours of playtime, I experienced numerous disconnects (not due to anything on my side) and many instances of my character being stuck unable to walk (only combat roll) or have a main quest bug out and be unable to progress (at least until I relaunched the game). Which at least they're fixable sure, but it's not exactly ideal to have to restart my game every 15 minutes or so. The combat was fun and I think the character creation is great, unfortunately the issues of not being able to play in more than 15 minute stretches turned me away from the game. I might try the game at a later date in the hopes that these issues will be fixed, but I genuinely don't have my hopes up.

A very fun game with lots to do, can be very pay to win though which is unfortunate. Beautiful graphics if your pc can handle them.
