I have no words to describe the disappointment I feel for this game. Modders are already outdoing the studio so don't expect it get finished in the near future.

Literally Kino, the best there is. The campaign mechanics aren't overbearing like the Rome 2's "political system" and the battles actually felt like battles. The 2 main campaigns(didn't play rise and won't) both do an amazing effort to immerse you in the setting and actually show you some fun stuff. Rome 2 can literally get deleted from the face of the earth and one with a sane mind will care.

Me and my mate repeated the same mission over 4-5 times. The last try we did it perfectly, BUT he got shot during the shuttle landing. SO i just ran for it only to get crushed by the shuttle. 10/10 find friends.

So, the game is amazing. You are basically playing a war game, entirely driven by the players. It's people who gather and craft materials and weapons, then it's people who carry said resources to the front/back lines or where they are needed. Then it's mostly people who do the killing. There are 2 factions which are quite fleshed out and aesthetically different.
Are you a depressed looser, because you have never talked to a normal human female, who likes visiting r/historymemes and listening to Sabaton while LARPing as a pewpew guy from WH40K? If you are that cringe worthy then join Wardens. The remaining normal people play Colonials. Also, make sure not to piss off any of the clans since most of them take the game EXTREMELY seriously (mostly Wardens) and they might mass report you to the point of non-existence, look up the Jade Cove incident I am 100%, COMPLETELY and UTTERLY serious about this. But seriously wardies just go out and talk to women, they are extremely boring to talk to so there's not much to worry about!

It may be barren for now, but you clearly see the devs are trying to build something nice.

First off, this is technically BF4 but you kinda have to work a bit to get a bolt action rifle, since only the scout has them when you are starting out.
Who thought giving the loosing team a HUGE advantage was a good idea ? Seems like some nerd cretin came up with the idea of adding big machines into the game but because he couldn't think of a clever way to implement them, the studio had to hand fist them in.
Operations is a glorified rush mode where you get some cringe worthy dialogue. Conquest is conquest, duh, why improve the formula ? It isn't broken, yet.
The guns, lmao the guns. Yes my great-great-great grandfather who purposefully walked behind the canon shielding, so he couldn't get shrapnel'ed like an idiot did talk about all the cool smgs and carbines and machine pistols they got on the frontlines. I mean, it's WW1, did you seriously had to scoop through experimental weapons and stuff just so you could preserve the arcadey meta of BF4 ? You had the perfect chance to do something cool and innovative, BuT nOoOoOoO0o0o0o0o0 sWeATY mEnCHiLdReN nO LiKE sL0w GeImplAY. And so because of that a lot of the narrative falls flat like a slap from a mormon guy beating his one of many wives. But I guess to your average manchild who browses r/historymemes and trips balls to Sabaton 24/7 is good enough.
The stories are interesting, besides the introduction part, where the game kills you if you don't kick the bucket fast enough and spells out some names, probably generated by a bot, of soldiers who died in that battle. Yeah I too would voluntarily kick the bucket if I got swarmed by some brain dead drones.
Why aren't there faction exclusive weapons ? I remember in BF1942, 2, 2142. All factions had faction specific weapons that would match their uniforms. Even 2142, a game set in the FUTUReEeEeEeEeEeeee had this approach. But again yeah I get it it's an arcade shooty game. you pew pew stuff don't think about it.
Sooo besides that and the GIT GUT cretins who hold the title of *community* the game is fine.
Just if you are looking for an authentic experience, well you ain't gonna find sh*t since that wire and french city games are more dead than my sex life and this game struggles with bipolar disorder between being a literal milk toast or a walking cringe simulator.
