This review is a tough one. It's close but I'll have to give it a "Not recommended" based on multiple factors, even if I love sci-fi mystery.

Factor 1) The technical side
The game does look quite good, however I have noticed some very irritating graphical artifacts where DLSS would create heavy ghosting even on "Quality" Preset, and Global Illumination causes intense light-spot flickering of the scene lighting, especially in the Atrium and some other areas. (Drivers are up to date!)
Also without DLSS the game is practically unplayable for me at some 20 FPS in some areas. I had to even lower resolution to 1080p from 1440p, which I never needed to do until now.
Adjusting other settings barely does anything for FPS, but the game will look like complete garbage on "Low".
So it's either distracting graphical artifacts and smearing (not a fan of DLSS) or dogsh** performance.
Granted, I "only" have a watercooled RTX 2080, but based on this experience I would not recommend this game to be played at anything less than this GPU, which can handle basically any other game I played so far, at comfortably smooth framerates in 1440p.
On a positive note, no crashes or instability (if we disregard wildly different FPS in each area).

Factor 2) The gameplay side
Replayability: absolute 0
Walking Speed: Even if literally your life depends on it - Snails pace, or about a nice slow cozy Saturday afternoon stroll
Interactivity is limited to be basically "press W" until you arrive at the next interactable object, then press "E", repeat. And some Quicktime Events, that barely change any outcome (except one time), but are annoying.
An interactive movie if you will.

Factor 3) Story & character behavior (without spoiling too much)
Starts off strong, great mystery vibes and somewhat believeable (aside from the myth that storms on Mars are that powerful, but I digress).
Then the characters even make fun of the typical tropes of the horror genre, until the point where they commit the exact same mistakes... oh well.
Story flattens out in the mid to end and it's not really clear why things played out like they did.
Which leads to...

Factor 4) Story & character behavior (with heavy spoilers!)

So it seems Fort Solis was working on some enhancement to plant growth by using martian soil, which improved it quite drastically for some reason? And they want to save a dying planet earth with it? (Maybe?)
Ok, well great, but for some reason it makes people sick? Or at least the soil used to produce the fertilizer... The doctor seems to believe so and wants to stop it while simultaneously getting absolutely nuts in the head himself and that's why he wants to kill everything and everyone?
Maybe the soil causes people to get extremely agitated? It's not really explained that well and many parts are just left completely blank. For example, what caused the damage to the drillbay doors? Any why did both the doctor and the botanist hear strange noises outside at night?
All very weird. And the cherry on top, the protagonists are acting really nonchalant about everything that's happening all the time. Found a dead person with stab wounds? Scream a little, then continue to stroll further into the base nonchalantly.
And the biggest mistake that every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ protagonist in horror or thriller does: Keeping the villain alive that just tried to kill you but you managed to fend off and knock down by gaining an upper hand! No, instead just leave him on the ground unsupervised and walk away slowly while taking their sights off him, so he has time to gather composure and pick up the sharp murder weapon again. Surely nothing bad will happen...

Factor 5) The price
It's just too damn high for what you are getting.
You are looking at just about 3 hours tops if you just walk through the storyline. Maybe this increases to 6 or 7 getting all collectibles and achievements if you missed something. Not that there is a whole lot of interesting things to find aside from story tidbits.
For 15€ maybe OK, more like 10.

The "OK" stuff
- Music: It's ok and fitting, but exceptionally forgettable, I don't remember a single track, melody or other fragment right after having played through the game... So why is there an OST for it? It's extremely generic.
- Sound design: Pretty decent, nothing negative to say.
- Animations: The MoCap is done well, looks natural aside from some unavoidable sliding when turning too quickly or interacting with stuff while walking or standing weirdly besides the object first.

TL;DR
All in all, great atmosphere and design, but technical and graphical problems.
Great premise, but ultimately too short and even with the minimal length failed to follow through with it's story and leaves a confusing aftertaste.
Too expensive.

Incredibly cute and whimsical little adventure game with a novel approach to puzzle together a world from map pieces.
Maybe a tad short for the price, but I enjoyed it more than other games that tried to artificially stretch their playtime with unnecessary and meaningless tasks.
This game is pretty condensed, you can play it in one sitting without getting bored.
Solid recommendation!

If you like RTS and/or Tower Defense you would be doing yourself a disservice not to buy this.
One of the many hidden indie gems on Steam.
I would recommend getting and playing the two predescessors first (they are also great!)
The gameplay is so good and the content so plentiful that the value proposition is just too good to pass up even on full price.

And now with the sale ongoing at time of writing (until 30. Jan. 2023) for 1.50€ my spending per hour of entertainment (100 hours) would be a whopping 1.5 CENT (0.015€) per hour.

I'll keep it short, because there is enough positive reviews already ^^
It is one of the best linear Story games I have played.
Incredible atmosphere, playing as cat is super cute, sounddesign very nice, impressive graphics (especially lighting effects).
There is a dedicated meow button!
Some very tense moments and also some very amusing and lighthearted ones.
The story from beginning to end is very intriguing and the setting is very cool and refreshing.
10/10 paws.

(But to whoever put in the achievement to not get "hit" in a specific scene at the beginning: I hate you!)

Usually I really like games like these, story based exploration/shooter with some mystery!
The atmosphere and design is nice, it reminds me of "The Electric State" by Simon Stålenhag.
Also some hints of Control (the strange library levels), and the enemies look like they are built by Boston Dynamics (lol).

Sooo what is wrong then? A lot. (Incoming wall of text!)
In fact this game, even though my initial reaction was very positive, managed to annoy me so much that I could not get through it, I quit.

The combat feels clunky, the axe is basically useless even on the normal difficulty, ammo is sparse but the enemies are limited so at least this balances it out somewhat.
There are no evasion mechanics, if a robot is in melee range of you he WILL hurt you.
For the most part this is alright, since most of the enemies are close range, and you can shoot them down from a distance.
However, there are also ranged enemies with machine guns that can hit you at range too, based on RNG basically since I think their weapons are hitscan-based and modified by the distance to you.
This is still easily surviveable, so why does it matter?
For me, because I like achievements, it matters because the devs have decided it is a good idea to include a "don't get hit ever for the entire game" achievement!
Ridiculous! There is basically no skill involved since there is no evasion mechanics, nor can you somehow influence much if a ranged enemy hits you or not...
Thankfully the enemy AI is often not very bright, but this devolves the achievement into savegame cheesing and pure RNG.
Other than that the weapon handling is OK, but melee is useless and unsatifying.
It was all more or less fine until the level where you need to pull two levers to advance that are opposite of each other and divided by a room with less-than-ideal cover or fighting chances.
Guess what happens next :D
Right, a typical videogame trope: Survive and activate all buttons/levers/etc to advance! Enemies start spawning.
OK, I'll try to to shoot them down > huh, they keep on coming > damn, they seem to endlessly respawn.
So in a game with very limited ammo and useless melee you decide to let unlimited and fast enemies spawn, nice.
I guess the objective was to run as fast as possible to the other lever or something. IDK because I quit because of annoyance by then.
How should this level be possible with the achievement "don't get hurt lol"?
And how on earth should it be possible to play through it by only using the axe? These seem too forced and utterly unfitting of the game.

Other than that:
- It's buggy and not very optimized. One of the more egregious bugs I encountered was that I could no longer pick up any items (ammo and even notes).
- The voice acting is actually pretty good, I've heard way worse.
- Sound design and atmospheric effects are fitting and pretty good. The steam generators in the beginning sound kinda weird though and the sound cuts off and loops often.
- Graphics are good, with raytracing enabled even very good, but performance without DLSS tanks (YMMV). With DLSS there is noticeable blur, but to be expected.
- Are the menu button click sounds just straight-up ripped from TES4: Oblivion or another Bethesda game, or am I crazy?
- Stealth is not an option, the robots run to you from half a plaza away even if you crouch in a building.

Some more tropes I encountered (not negative, just for amusement):
- Unknown red potions lying around are for healing! (seems the character doesn't find this strange at all, like always)
- Stairs are blocked by stacked furniture (exhibit number two million or so, it's crazy how often this is used in games...)
- Activate some button things on both sides of a level to unlock a path in a central location to advance!
- Some science dude got tangled up in an experiment and is now lost -> go find him or something.
- Red barrels explode because there is TNT inside. Who left explosive TNT barrels lying around in a factory and city? Nobody will ever know...
- Probably a few more

To add insult to injury the game crashed on exit, nice!

Don't let the reviews fool you, it is a very good title in the Anno series and even now, 10 years from release, has received much love from the devs.
The majority of negative reviews were based on the (now patched out!) iffy DRM scheme and abysmal Ubisoft Launcher, which has since improved in handling quite a lot.
The game was also patched recently by the devs so that all online game features stay available even though Ubisoft shutdown the servers. They basically migrated the whole online part to a more modern server architecture (from what I understood) and the game was also ported from 32bit to 64bit which should give it another bump in performance and future proofing.
If that's not wholesome dedication I don't know what is.
And the game itself is very solid and can be enjoyed many many hours (100+) easily for just 30€ with all content, even in co-op (or PVE/PVP LAN Party) with friends.
Completely and utterly worth it.

Cute little game about living the slow life, albeit in the 80s where that was still a little easier.
I could use some more of that myself sometimes :-)

Not much to say about the game, it's basically just delivering mails in a quaint little lakeside town, getting to know some interesting personalities and doing some after-work socializing.

There are no such things as collectibles, secrets (that I know of) or any other kind of "open-world distractions", nothing wrong with that in my opinion though, but also not much replayability.

In terms of tech this game has some nice appropriate graphics, but nothing fancy. Sounds are "meh" but there aren't a lot to begin with. The rain during a storm is really loud in some scenes however.
The voiceovers are really good and fit the characters, the dialoge feels quite "natural".

There was one bug I experienced where the sound or parts thereof would just cut out completely sometimes for some seconds (engine sound, dialogue, radio, walking, or all at once).
Also once I saw an NPC stuck with his car in the dirt beside the road, his head was just above ground, and only the car roof visible, that was a funny bug at least :D
But I also saw a random cute red fox cross the road so that was nice.

To see everything I think about 10 hours is what you can expect from it.
Do I recommend full price? Ehhh maybe.
It's a cool game, but 20€ is a bit steep for the amount of playtime and some bugs, YMMV.

Great and engaging coop survival game with cool story locations to discover and explore, but with some unnecessarily tedious achievements and some minor bugs/problems.

All in all recommended, but if you want to 100% it: Good luck with the ensuing boring grind :-)
Example: The "Survive 365 days" achievement. We were done with the story and most stuff well before 100 days, at day 150 we simply ran out of things to do and were just floating along on our fully decked out Raft. 365 days seems a little too long-winded, especially since it has to be accumulated on the same savegame.

Additional oddities / gripes:
- The hook does not work for multiplayer clients at the start of the game, they need to drop it once and pick it back up to start working, strange...
- Who the hell designed to bow to be held that way? The bow is horizontal with the arrow not resting on the bow but it's under it?? Wat?
- The giant clam item has literally only 1 mildly useful crafting recipe, then it becomes quite useless.
- Killing screechers is just tedious and time-consuming... 50 of them for the achievement even more so without save-scumming.
- The buff food is so mildly useful with too short durations while being too much of a pain to produce that it becomes completely unnecessary. Also they reset on sleeping, booh!
- Waves during storms are cool, but look extremely ugly on/inside the raft. They also seemed to not calm down anymore at all so we disabled them via "Motionsickness Mode", much better that way.
- Story Spoiler: I know it's just a game but the "reactor" at the Selene facility doesn't make any sense, lol. From what is mentioned in the story and visible on the site, it seems to be a fission reactor (requires control rods to be shut down, produces high amounts of radioactivity...), yet it also features a torus containment vessel like in a tokamak fusion reactor. Also I'm not sure what to make of this that yet another game uses nuclear reactors as some kind of "ultra-dangerous" uncontrollable energy source. No wonder the public keeps being scared of them, when in reality they are among the safest and cleanest energy sources available even when factoring in all the past incidents (although yes, they are costly).

This game is WEIRD, like "80s-Vaporwave-Cult-Feverdream"-weird. I love it!

The premise is that you are an investigator coming back to active duty after being exiled for millions of days (yes, millions) because something terrible happened and the leadership of The Syndicate (essentially a cult to which you still belong) was murdered.

You will need to find evidence by investigating crime scenes and interrogating the inhabitants of the island on which you are now free to roam, and uncover it's conspiracies and secrets.
Apart from that, there are many collectibles to find and hidden things/locations to discover.
All evidence you find will be used in a grand trial which you can start whenever, at your discretion.
The graphics are pretty nice, but rather more "functional" than beautiful. It fits with the vaporwave theme.
The soundtrack is, I must say, superb. I vibed with the chill tunes the whole time playing the game and will also be getting the album download for it!

All in all, a great focused experience worth the price.
For absolute completion it takes about 10-18 hours depending on your speed (I am rather slowgoing).

Interesting little idlegame with MMO elements.
The game is very reminiscent of MapleStory, but structured more around the idea of being an idlegame.
There are multiple worlds which get unlocked as you progress, each with individual zones which are also unlocked based on progress.
To advance from the initial spawn zone in world 1 you'll have to defeat a certain amount of mobs in each zone to unlock the portal into the next zone. To advance to world 2 you'll have to defeat a boss in one of the last zones of world 1, and so on.
In MMO fashion you can see other players running around, but this is merely cosmetical as they can not be seen attacking or doing much (I suspect this is a limitation of the server backend to save on computing/network resources)

The main gameplay loop consists of basically the following:
- Create multiple specialized characters from which you can play one actively at a time while the others do their assigned tasks at a reduced rate in the background (either killing mobs or other gathering activities)
- Gather resources from monsters for crafting or questing
- Craft new gear for all your characters
- Level up characters and their skills, level up and upgrade certain global bonuses
- Collect cards (which can be equipped and also give bonuses)
- Defeat mobs to advance zones once you are strong enough
- Defeat bosses to advance to the next world
- While all of this is happening, there is a ton of side-activities, and each world unlocks more of them.

This all feels solid as a concept, there is always stuff to work towards.
The only thing I hate are the minigames for gathering activities you can do when playing actively, they are designed to be both too hard and annoying, and can only be done a few times each day.

There are also dungeons, which are to my knowledge the only truly multiplayer activities, however these are optional from what I have seen, and are completely detached mechanically from the rest of the game, with it's own rewards and progression systems.

Audio/Music is nice and catchy, but nothing too special.
Artstyle is a bit rudimentary but alright, the only thing I am missing is that only weapons and hats are shown on the character model. Boots, chestpieces or pants are not displayed ingame, which is a bit of a shame.
This would take a lot of time to draw proper sprites for and it's only one developer so I can understand this decision, maybe it will be done someday.

All in all, pretty good. It's free, so no complaints about the price.
As with any F2P game it's got an ingame shop aswell, with reasonable pricing, offering some comfort enhancing stuff (more storage space, hats, or increased speed for some activities etc.)
The game does not have much direct interaction between players, so the MMO aspect is to be taken not quite literally.
