About Me
I make source engine stuff for commission

Mapping
I've been making maps since 2018, I've had a lot of practice with the source engine, and have found many unused mechanics in the source engine. Mechanisms ranging from animated textures that could be used for whole videos in gmod, to making animations in source filmmaker and using them for npc animations.

Source Film Maker
This program is the program that got me started. Ever since I've seen all the tf2 sfm videos made throughout the years, I've loved the way it looked. I always wanted to try it out but never had a pc. When I did get a pc I wanted to try to get Garry's mod because I saw a friend play it and it looked fun, but I accidentally installed sfm thinking it was the same thing. I tried it out and learned how to make simple animations as well as different techniques the program provides with animating. You can make realistic animations in sfm and export the animations as a video, or you can export the animations as a valve model animation file. Meaning you can use any source engine model in sfm and make custom animations for it that can be used in source engine games.

Modeling
Another thing I've been learning to do is custom 3d modeling. I've had some practice learning how to make 3d models in blender, I've been using the software since 2020. I found that creating custom playermodels could be achieved by taking models from other games and rigging the models to be used as gmod player models. Ever since then I've learned how to use the proportion trick .

Proportion Trick
The proportion trick is used to make player models more accurate to the models height and width. I'm sure you've noticed bigger player models with their hands or other parts of the body clipping inside of them. With the proportion trick, you can eliminate these issues and make animations play more accurately over the model.
