in all seriousness, as someone who has literally grown up with undertale and toby fox's work (and lowkey focused most of my childhood on it....) this is peak.

the music, writing, art and characters - it's all dashed in with a bit (or a lot) of amazing, toby(tm) branded humor. genuinely one of the best games of this decade.

I grew up with the Silent Hill games. I never thought I'd ever see a day where I can actually play a Silent Hill remake, and actually teared up when this was announced. I'm so glad I kept myself somewhat hopeful up until its release... I am genuinely ecstatic.

If you haven't played SH2 ever, then this is a golden chance to do so. It's really well done, and you WILL feel some sort of way about this game that will leave you thinking about it years later. The ambience, the atmosphere....even the remixed tracks are purely amazing. I haven't felt so overjoyed and excited playing a game in a long while.

Please give this a try if you can...Silent Hill 2 is cited as the best psychological horror game of all time for a reason, and I'm sure most people who try it out will agree wholeheartedly.

Let me start this off by saying: this is one of the most interesting and fun games I've played in a long while.

Something like the paranormal is out of realms of our reality (or aren't, but are rare, if you ask some), and that is what most people of Honjo had thought so, as well. One night, a mysterious death happens - with no perpetrator, on top of that. The people of the city, none the wiser, are trying to find someone who is human...but we, the players, know. Not all of ti, of course, but enough to realize that what killed those people wasn't human - in fact, almost a concept, from our limited perspective.

You then step into the roles of many different characters - and you need to see everything from their perspectives to understand what is going on. And I do mean, everything. Even the things and in the places where you would not expect any puzzle piece to be in.

The story itself...is spectacular. That's my favorite aspect in any piece of media - PARANORMASIGHT not only met, but exceeded my expectations. At a certain point, every single loose thread was tied up, and circled back - things from the start to the end.

Now, the presentation of the game: incredible. To say that this is presented in an impressive manner would be a complete understatement. All the way from the music to the details in the visuals, to the artstye - this isn't just any visual novels. You get to see things from different angles, but this still retains the core feel of a visual novel. The art is gorgeous to look at, and the OST is amazing.

I will avoid saying anything more, for fear of spoiling the game - but if you enjoy horror, puzzles, detective work, the paranormal, and most importantly - a good story - then this is a must play, hands down.

When little me first got into RPG Horror games, I was very starry-eyed. This genre quickly had become one of my favorite ones, to date.

When my 12 year old self discovered the original Pocket MIrror game on itch.io - I knew right away, from the first few minutes into the game, that I had found something special. I had secretly stayed up at my grandma's house everynight, just to be able to be a part of the main character's world, just a little longer, each day, until I finally got to the end.

Through out the years, this game has been on my mind, and not infrequently, may I add. This game had cemented into me, not just as an RPG horror game - but a piece of art, and piece of media, in general.

The updated music and graphics....they are all so amazing, The CG's as well, of course - I can tell that so much work and love was poured into not just the original, but every bit of the remake, as well. The sound design and music really adds to the "fairytale"-like atmosphere of the entire game, as well, and helps you to imagine how you're a part of this world that's shown to you on screen,

Overall....playing this remake feels like I'm my 12 year old self again, watching the scenes unfold in front of my eyes, starry-eyed. That may seem like strange behavior, since this is a horror game - but trust me, if you enjoy any bit of RPG horror, you will feel the same way when playing this. Every cent that I paid for this remake is entirely worth it - I think this remake enhanced the experience for me.
