Logged back in after a year to find all of my items gone and my progress reset.

Lots of fun if you liked the building and exploring in Fallout 4. It's lacking the depth of the other singleplayer games in the franchise, you can't mod it, and it has some old glitches from Fallout 4's engine, but I think it's a good bit of fun. Appalachia is gorgeous and the Fallout 76 community is one of the nicest ones I've played with since I started playing online games in 2009. Give it a try!

No proper matchmaking and a small player base means new players get eaten alive, especially if you're solo. There's no opportunity to learn when you're one-shot by the same ten players with hundreds of hours over and over and over again. On top of that that , the game play gets stale and shallow quickly. Yes, the game is free, but so is banging your head against the wall. Play something else.

Reject cowboy. Return to goat.

Steam really needs a "maybe" option for these reviews.

TL;DR, I think your best bet is to just buy the perks you're interested in with Iridescent Shards.

The art, music, and overall concepts of the DLC are *chef's kiss* amazing. It's a bit outside of the genre, but it works.

THE KNIGHT: He's a weird one. His perk Nowhere To Hide is good, but I rarely find use for the others. It frequently feels like he excels at camping, gen-kicking, and not much else, which is boring for both teams. Other playstyles feel weak on him. His guard AI doesn't always work, and feels very clunky at best, especially when commanding guards to break pallets or move around corners.

VITTORIO: Vittorio looks amazing and is another example of the art team giving it their all. Fogwise is a fun perk to run skill check builds with. His other perks feel pretty weak, which is sad because Potential Energy has such a cool animation.

Previous versions of this DLC contained 500 Blood Bonds. This has been removed without any announcement or change in price. The DLC remains non-refundable as if it still contains in-game currency.

There's nothing I can say about this game that hasn't been said before, but it's amazing. I bought it on sale. I would have happily bought it at full price if I'd known it was this good. If you've lost faith in the "Open World Survival Craft" genre, then this game will restore it. Exploring the world, discovering bits of the story, overcoming challenges, building, and unlocking new upgrades actually feels rewarding. The atmosphere somehow manages to be relaxing and creepy at the same time. I haven't put it down since I bought it and I don't see myself uninstalling it any time soon.

Oh, and you can craft an entire functional submarine, use it as a mobile base, and customize it to your heart's content, complete with kitty posters and plushies. Enough said.

TLDR: One of the best, if not THE best, open world survival games I've ever played. Yeah it has frame rate issues, yeah it's still in early access after almost a decade, no it's not the prettiest or most polished game you've ever seen. But it's fun enough that none of that matters.

Now the zombies SEEM braindead at first, shambling towards you and just begging to be killed, but they're vicious. At night they will gather together and tear down walls to get at you. Even during the day, when they're less aggressive, they love sneaking up on you, bursting unexpectedly out of closets or shadowing you until they're close enough to jumpscare you with a hit to the back of the head. It's fantastic. Oh, and if you just want to craft without zombies, there's a game mode for that.

The crafting is deep and the building is highly customizable. The maps are huge and filled with loot. As in games like Minecraft, anything in the world can be broken down. Unlike in games like Minecraft, if you mess around enough with impossible physics and destroy the foundations of something, it will collapse on top of you. (It's epic.) The hunger, thirst, and injury systems are surprisingly realistic. Most survival games I've played think you need to consume minimum of one gallon of water and an entire cow per hour to survive. Thankfully, this isn't one of those games.

Buy 7 Days To Die. You won't regret it.
