Black Mesa is a triumph in the world of game remasters. It's a love letter to the original Half-Life, a game that defined a genre, and it honors that legacy in the best way possible. If you're a fan of the series or just appreciate quality first-person shooters, Black Mesa is a must-play. Valve's vision from years ago has been realized in glorious HD, and it's an experience that should not be missed.

The emotional journey you embark upon in Black Mesa is unforgettable. It's not just about shooting Xenians; it's about uncovering the mysteries of the Black Mesa incident and understanding the consequences of our (very real) scientific hubris. The storytelling is as compelling as ever, and the characters are brought to life with improved animations and voice acting. There are scenes where you cannot help but feel sad, or angry, or root for someone. For example one of my favorite scenes.. (SPOILERS AHEAD) At the very climax of the game in Xen, the scientists back on earth will frequently teleport in supplies with notes for the player, along the lines of "Do not give up, gordon!" and such things. It adds a layer of humanity in such a way that it it expresses that yes. The world is indeed counting on you, and you alone. My suggestion is to play with the character expansion, the name escapes me at the moment but it adds new life in places that normally are quite barren. In conclusion, one of my favorite games of all time, and a recreation that i think deserves to replace the original in it's own way. Half-Life was, and still is one of the most revolutionary titles of all time. This game? Black Mesa? is not just a revolution... A remaster... It's a masterpiece befitting of Valve's official fame itself.

Beautiful graphics, amazing story and even better controls, has some of the most advanced combat mechanics I've seen in a game, flawlessly crafted in my own personal opinion.

What more is there to say?

Just.. Stay away from the multiplayer, if you want a good multiplayer check out FiveM's sandbox servers.

My opinion on this is very mixed, on one hand its very moddable and fun, it can be used for roleplay, mindless fun, or just plain co-op, and can be highly enjoyable at times, but its running out of maps and mods, and is unfortunately dying out quickly, and people are losing interest in it rapidly. However, the pros outweigh the cons, so i will recommend this.

Its great n all, but if you dont want to waste money upgrading (like me), dont, just dont.
