MY BIOGRAPHY
The excitement of soldering his very own Sinclair ZX 81 in 1981 was the
kickoff to Alpha's life-long love for computers. At that point he also got two
fundamental insights: software is more forgiving than hardware and that one
end of the soldering iron can get really hot... After joining Valve in 2008,
Alpha helped release Source Filmmaker. These days he is back in the field
of tools creation and user interfaces. Also he might be the only programmer
you know who actually implemented a file selector dialog for three different
proprietary windowing systems. He still hopes he will get it right at some
point in the future.
