If you don't already know what the sandman is, it is a melee that you can equip as the Scout. I am about to show you how.

Step 1:
Clcik on the button that says "Items" (If you are ingame, press escape first).

Step 2:
Clcik on the Scout picture to your left.

Step 3:
Click on your melee slot (The bat in the bottom box).

Step 4:
Clcik on the weapon that looks like a wooden baseball bat.

And there you go, you are now using the sandman. Congrats.
