It's a good game, yes, but whether or not YOU should play depends entirely on your answer to this question: Do you have disposable income you're willing to throw a lot of at this game?

If yes: Come join the fun
If no: Play something else.

I love the game and play it frequently (Played LIVE from launch to 2020 and NEO since launch, only just swapping over to Steam today) but I cannot with good conscience suggest it to someone who is not willing to spend money. NCSoft is notoriously greedy and NEO is no exception.

While yes you can play entirely "free to play" you're going to hit walls due to the stamina system which limits your activities on a daily basis. Not buying the battle pass hinders your progression a lot. Heroic tier skill books are insanely expensive on the Auction House (which is real money exchange only. Gold is only used to upgrade gear and with NPC merchants). Endgame purple and legendary dungeons are gated by ridiculous gear checks that you'll be grinding a LOT to reach.

Forces a kernel level anti-cheat for single player game.

Getting tired of domination being literally 95% of the games I play. Convoy and Convergence need to be put at same priority
