Those who loved Alien Isolation will also love this game. You have no weapons in this game. Stealth is your only chance to survive. There are different creatures patroling the abandoned stations and in the darkness of the deep ocean. The gameplay is hard, scary and also a pretty long campaign. There is mod & steam workshop support which gives you various more levels to play through or gameplay tweaks & changes. I recommend "Mavs Hard Mode" from steam workshop, which increases enemy encounters and the general difficulty. It has even a gamemode that removes your savegame when you die lol.

A big thumbs up from me.

The developers kept their promise and brought us an excellent vietnam era expansion. Here is what you get:
- a 300km2 jungle terrain, including hills, rivers, sea and vietnam era towns
- you get 4 major factions that fought during the vietnam war
- 55 detailed weapons with variants
- 54 vehicles with varians, including static weapons
- tons of the equipment and terrain accessories, all in cold-war/vietnam-war era

I can say that the quality is insane. The model and texture details are amazing and the sounds of guns and explosion gives you PTSD.

And that only for 22.99€. Thats a steal for what you get. If you buy a DLC from EA Games or Ubisoft, you pay the price of a triple A title for only like 3 weapons, 4 vehicles, 1 map and some retextures.

The developers deserved every cent for what they offer us. Heck, i would rather buy it when it is NOT on sale, so the developers get the maximum income from it.

I can not recommend this game in the current state. There are hackers and bots everywhere.

It is unfortunate that Valve avoid fixing it and instead, they let this game die.

Good that this game is free2play in the current state, it saves you money. Otherwise TF2 would have to deal with mass-refunds.

I play it since 2004 and oh my it was and is an enrichment for my gaming life. Back when we had all low spec computers, i played it with my cousins and friends together. There were also bots as addon, RCbots if i recall correctly. We loved to play the resident evil maps where players have to do the objectives in the house like in resident evil 1. We threw some HD gunskins, HD effects and some HD map textures into it and it felt so fresh.

This game lets you play so many different gamemodes. Also, the mod is named as my real life name, so no surprise it is good.

The developers put alot of effort into this mod.
+ They added child zombies
+ The weapon arsenal is pretty huge
+ If you hit zombies with melee weapons, the melee weapon and your hands gets bloody
+ The maps are huge and detailed with different weapons spawn on different places which motivates to replay the same maps. If you restart the map, you will not find the same pistol on the same spawn as the last round.
+ Great soundtrack that appear on situations instead of a looping playlist
+ Workshop support, there are great custom maps created in the quality of the original maps.

I hope their standalone game will be as good as this mod, i would gladly buy and support them!

I play ZP:S since its first release in christmas 2007. I played even the classic ZP for half-life 1 and modded the ♥♥♥♥ out of it with skins. I can only recommend this mod. Its still alive and kicking. It has a new development team that take care of the mod and fixes bugs, brings additions and brought ZP:S to one of the newer source engines.

outstanding remake, nothing was cut, everything from HL1 is included.
And the multiplayer is much better and more fun than all AAA titles nowadays. No lootboxes, crates, skins, rank system and trash like that. You just join a server and have fun. Just like in the oldschool hl1 days.

+ Terrain uses all new assets, nothing from altis or tanoa
+ All buildings are destructible on weferlingen terrain
+ im happy that all objects (except trees) uses stencil shadows, so no more ugly black lines everywhere, this is something very rare
+ Vehicles has proper damage models and the quality is arma 3 level
+ Weapons are good in terms of quality and you can even select different iron sights with the G3
