Other than that the pixel art was boosted to new levels
The environment is blocky 3D like DQ7 but the characters are high def sprites
Quality of life:
-damange number colors indicating whether the attack is effective or not
-a small objective pointer that is subtle and can still be turned off, this existing doesn't push newcomers away
What else is there to say? It's dragon quest 3, we all missed out due to us not being japanese

Bro I swear, you know the emulated version of the ps1? When I enabled the 60fps patch on the ps1 version the game freezes right after then go up the lift, this version also gets frozen on that spot, what in blazes.

I bought this game a week early before release on ps4, so I completely beat it without day 1 patch, my impression was that they tried something new, came up with a final fantasy story that fits a main installment with pretty ambitious design, but it was missing content, so i felt it kinda lacking and short, then recently i replayed the windows version and beat it, and i have to say they really upped the ante, they fixed lots of missing content, they did a pretty damn well job porting it to pc, they added more bosses, i havent done a lot of sidequests just early game as i did them the first playthrough, but i feel like they also enriched the sidequests, the gameplay got more diverse with playing the rest of the party.

My main complaint however is that they never really used the world of ruin, whats the point of having pretty strong monsters that need grinding in an empty world, some monsters only appear in the world of ruin and the variety of them is huge, maybe they did have side quests now i havent tried but no story events, i kinda strongly wished for another half the first time i played 15 and saw the title "World of Ruin" i got goosebumps for nothing, the game ended there, oh well it could've been development issues with the game changing directors and trying to quickly push it out as 15, but I hope in they future they dont set it aside like this game.

7.5-8/10, worth playing

aside from the unreasonable and backwards performance problems, a new standard has been set for games, having a 5 hour story 60$ game is inexcusable after this game released, it was inexcusable before but people are blind

remove denuvo greedy pieces of ♥♥♥♥, game runs like ass, if you really want smooth experience, buy it here then download it pirated, the pirated version runs very smooth without the stutter
