It's not an easy job to make death concept in a roguelike not failure but progress, let alone make dying not rage-inducing. This game has hands down the best progression system I have ever seen, not only because you progress through mechanically, because every single run offers you new lore pieces throughout the game, thus making the game really intense. I have NO idea how Supergiant implemented the idea that every different choice you make leds to another direction this FLAWLESSLY but it feels incredible how natural this is, and it really fits the concept as well, we are the God of Rebirth after all.
