Purchased this game shortly after release in 2008. Played it with no issue. My kids got copies on sale and we ran into some major issues.

My key no longer shows up in steam. One kid has a key on his steam, the other didn't get one with the purchase. This needs to be fixed to be able to play LAN games.

Spaceships, Crew Members, a Void? What fun! This is super fun with friends and chaotic when things start to go wrong.

The Devs are super responsive and are willing to investigate issues reported.

Fun twitch-fly game

So far the game has a good feel to it. I am hoping it become less linear as I play it. As of writing this review I have 2.6 hours recorded play time but my save file is about 1.5 hours in.

Pros:
Game looks awesome
My 1080TI 11GB is able to handle this like a champ with persistent 60FPS at 1920x1080 ( older rig )
Works well with controller if you are into that
Works well with Keyboard and Mouse

Cons:
Story has a slow start so far
Small notable bugs, mainly inability to interact with certain entities without reloading game
Game appears fairly linear so far (may change later on)
Combat is a bit wonky; range appears to be king over melee unless you are able to perfectly parry.

Other Thoughts:
I waited for this game to be released for about 3 years. Now that it is out I am hoping that the wait was worth it. I plan on playing it to completion a few times and will update with replay value and additional thoughts once I am done.

--Update to the Review--
Worth it. Had a blast playing through the game as a few different characters. I am hoping additional content will be added either through DLC or Dev Updates. I am also hoping for a continuation of the story with either expansion or a #2 game.

This is a good way to wind down at the end of the day. Can simply log into the game, find a spot to sit and relax with the scenery. Once in a while and animal will cross you path and you can choose to shoot it or just let it pass. Don't expect to take down more than a few animals in an hour unless duck hunting. I give this a solid 10/10 for time wasting.

This game is amazing. Much easier to get into than other MMOCFS style games.

You have to forge your own path, limited direction
Instancing and Solo play... -> Hard to pirate players

The lead dev for this Total Conversion has no online presence. He posts online once every ~45 days and typically it has nothing to do with Primitive+. He rarely logs into the official forums (from Jan 28-March 3, 2017 he did not log in). Overall don't waste your time downloading this mod unless you want to play something with near zero support and behind by months in the full games current content.

I love this piece of hardware. Amazing option for streaming my gaming from the Computer room to the TVs. Lightweight, easy setup, and quick to use.

This game looked amazing during Pre-Alpha; However the team creating this game first lost their lead PR and Marketing rep. Shortly after they lost their lead Devs. This left them with a handful of people scrathing their heads trying to figure out what to do. If Valve would authorize a refund for the game for me I would more than take it so I could apply it towards something that was actually fun.

This is by far the worst Alpha I have ever played, and still I would consider this game to be in Alpha. Code }{atch should be banned from releasing games on steam, as well as any of there dev team that worked on this game.
