Early Access Review
I really enjoyed this game, I wish I knew what genre this and Vampire Survivors specifically should be called but I'm unaware of it. But this game is more because of the dashes, skill system, and inventory system. I love the direction the game is going, although I am sad to report that I'm nearing the end of my interest with the content that is currently released.

I'm looking forward to more content so I can dump in another 20 hours over no time!

Edit: 50 more hours and Act II and I'm liking where this is going. Hopefully we keep getting nice updates and a decently balanced game and I'll keep playing it. Keep up the good work!

Ugh, When you finally do the thing, then you have to do it again, then you find some cool other things, and then you finally do the thing right and realize that you haven't even finished the game???

Such a fresh, new, and appealing way to introduce a game. Thank you.

Surprisingly captivating. Simple yet fun, ambient but basic. The priority system can be a bit daunting at times if you're looking to rush through a tower defense or whatever type of genre you'd call Vampire Survivor (With the purchasable out of play upgrades and such) but I'd say that this game is something that I've been looking for if you like the custom maps from Warcraft III.

This is just something many games have as an issue, not Ark alone. Please make Backspace a bind-able key. I use the Kinesis Advantage2 ergonomic keyboard and this makes rebinding dodge/space to the closest WASD button as similar to space on a regular keyboard.

Despite this I am currently enjoying the free version of this game with my friends, but alone I would be a bit harder pressed to enjoy it.

I really want to enjoy this game but I need to be able to rebind Jump from Space to Backspace due to my ergonomic keyboard. If this isn't possible then I'm going to have serious issues continuing this game.

When you get the "Sincere Apologies" achievement in the sewer level with your face left agape only to the backdrop of dripping fetid liquid and inhumane and human screams. Thanks guys, I love these experiences.

I'm liking this so far. Great promise of story, love the pixel art direction for the most part, I like the controls and backdrops a lot.

My issues: Cannot customize keybindings, the art style of "height" seems incongruous.

The second point is just a subjective thing, this keybindings one is gamebreaking for me. I'm unable to dodge roll because you *must* use space for that. I use a Kinesis Advantage 2 and my space bar is on the right side of my keyboard, and most games let me rebind that ability to backspace where I have the equivalent of space bar.

Otherwise this game shows great promise. But I'm stuck unable to play unable to progress until I can use dodge more realistically.

I really loved Endless Space 1. However, as a sequel Endless Space 2 is extremely lackluster. If there is a major difference between games it is in functionality systems, which isn't a bad thing but doesn't quite do it for me.. Otherwise the appearance of the game is a very minute distinguishing. I was about to reinstall here after playing some Civilization and not quite hitting my fancy when I've seen that the base game has some terrible pending bug many people are encountering. I'm not even going to waste my time installing, just gonna play Civ until I can try this game again and, if it is different, leave a different review.

I guess my problem is, the lack of detail in the overworld. At least give me the ability to enjoy the beauty of the game when I'm not fighting.

There's this really beautiful thing that happens as you age. Just listen to the music. Right before your final days, after a few bouts of hours you'll hear that impending tone, and know soon all will be gone.

This concept is great, I love the graphics, the intro quest is captivating and makes you anticipate a great story.

That's as far as I can go because this is an Early Access Game guys. Don't buy this if you are looking for the full finished product. Buy this if you want to try out an interesting tactical roguelike that feels as if it has much promise.
