A cool game that mixes and matches some new ideas with the ones from dodonpachi, battle garegga, mars matrix and other classic shmups. Seems tough at first but it's easy to start earning extends once you get the hang of the simple but deep scoring system. Great art by woof with a really neat color palette and thumping music. Lots of stuff packed into the package - Three different basic game modes, each of the two ships has four different special types and three selectable primary shot modes, alternate music and backgrounds to unlock, four different announcers and a ton of short missions that either teach you the game's systems or present some unique challenge. Reminds me of when I was a real gamer who could beat dodonpachi.
