NeoDuel: Backpack Monsters is a fresh take on the strategy genre, and while it’s still early days, it’s got a lot of potential. The core gameplay loop of picking, placing, and merging monsters to create powerful combos is honestly pretty fun and keeps you engaged. There's this satisfying feeling when your team finally clicks and steamrolls your opponent. The strategic depth is there, but it doesn’t overwhelm you, which is great for both casual players and those who love experimenting with different synergies.

One of the coolest things about it is the asynchronous multiplayer. You can take breaks whenever you need to, and the game just waits for youy. It’s a relaxed pace that works well for people who want a strategic experience without feeling pressured to stay online for long stretches. That said, it's a bit early to say how well this will hold up in the long term.

However, since the game just launched, there are definitely some rough edges. I’ve noticed a few bugs and room for improvement (like sliding the settings bars without picking them by their point markers) here and there, and the balance between certain monsters could use a bit of tweaking. But that’s expected for a new game, and I’m sure these will get ironed out over time as the developers get more feedback.

All in all, NeoDuel is a solid start. If you enjoy strategy games that don’t demand constant attention, it’s worth checking out. Just know that it’s still in its early stages, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here.
