This game is great, especially if you like Tabletop RPGs such as D&D or, well, Pathfinder. I'm more of a recent player, having experience in D&D 5e mostly, but found the system refreshing.

For the good:
The game offers substantial content and good writing. I was always wondering what would happen next and was pleasant surprised at some of the twists the story took. Maybe if you played the original module, many of these surprises wouldn't blindside you as they had me, but it is a fun ride nonetheless. The combat and system works pretty well too, though are not without their flaws (see later). It is very fun to make a build and see it come to fruition. The variety is characters, story choices and things to do will even allow for decent replay value.

For the bad:
The combat has its kinks. Some encounters are ludicrously difficult with little to no warning, especially at the end-game. The devs have mitigated most complaints, but at several points I found I really wasn't enjoying the slog of combat. Some enemies, usually mobs, not even bosses, are so powerful and obnoxious to fight that it can quickly suck all enjoyment out of the game. The writing, while excellent, does sometimes drop a bit in quality (looking at you, Order of the Rack), but that is to be expected in a game as humongous as this. A point easily forgotten is that some elements of the game are very poorly explained. It's difficult to think back in hindsight, since I learned any things that are second nature to me. The kingdom management in particular had a handful of features I'd missed until a time later.

All in all, this game is most likely worth your time unless you are put off by many small problems piling on to ruin your experience. It's never gotten to the point I wanted to stop playing, but one or two particularly rough sections of the game were a bit troublesome to get through. Do yourself a favor and try this game out, it's really good.
