One of the better 40k game experiences I've ever had, and a unique gem among games in this setting. I actually think this would make an excellent introduction to the 40k Universe, because of the clever glossary and tooltip system Owlcat uses to introduce all the crazy jargon.

If you aren't interested in the hyper-macho Space Marine stuff and want something more nuanced, this is where you will find it. This game is much more faithful to the book universe than the other games.

If you are coming from BG3, this is a big step backwards in visual presentation. But it makes up for that with deeper and more complex systems, with additional systems layered on top of the traditional CRPG, such as space naval combat and kingdom management.
