This game is like crack and in the best way possible

Played for the first time at like 9, was sus of Lilith due to DDLC related 4th wall break trauma, got bad ending, regret, play for another hour to get the good end. Lilith may not be real but she does cause real emotions.

I'm ashamed to say I only learned about this game through the Terraria crossover, because ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I wish I played this game sooner. Genuinely one of the most fun games I've ever bought. If you like roguelikes at all, you will love this game. First time I beat the final boss I just immediately went and bought all the DLCs that were on sale minus Castlevania, it was that good. There's a reason this game has an *Overwhelmingly Positive* review.

Yeah, in my other review I said it was a really hard choice between Fatal Falls and this DLC for my favorite. That's mainly just because Fractured Shrines is my favorite area, but this is easily the best DLC. The Lighthouse is easily my favorite boss fight in the game, it's just so unique and fun while also being difficult but fair. Then there's the whiplash of that NOT being the final boss in the DLC. Infested Shipwreck is also a pretty cool level, but tbh it just can't beat High Peak Castle. This DLC is 100% worth it.

This DLC is so good, and it's a REALLY hard choice between this one and Queen & The Sea for my favorite overall. Fractured Shrines is one of the most fun areas in the game, and the Undying Shores are pretty fun too. The Scarecrow is easily the hardest of the middle bosses and a really well foreshadowed fight if you're a nerd who paid attention to lore in the base game and The Bad Seed.

Really good DLC for spicing up the early part of runs, Mama Tick is an interesting boss and decently fun (unless you're using a fire build), and you get some good areas as well like the Arboretum and Morass. Overall though I would say this is the weakest of the paid DLCs. It's still great and I recommend picking it up, but get the others first.

The fact this DLC is completely free while also being one of the most insane and interesting levels both in gameplay and design is just amazing.

Pretty decent all things considered, but the main draw is getting to see the history of DE & Warframe's development as a whole.
