Looks way more fun than it is.

Short, but good game. Shadow of the Colossus-like atmosphere but from a bird's perspective.

- First off, I really don't get why some users compare it to the Dark Souls games. It has absolutely nothing in common with them except maybe the "souls" in its title and the fact that it's difficult.
- There is almost no story, but the atmosphere is great. You're wandering through a huge, unpopulated area with long-forgotten ruins etc., encountering big, dangerous enemies. All of that reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus but with different gameplay: You don't climb the titans, you only have one bow and one arrow, and you as well as the bosses die with one hit (the bosses can only be hit on a specific weak spot). (Also it's not third-person view, obviously)
- Checkpoints are a bit rare, and many players seem to be frustrated by the fact that upon dying they have to walk all the way to the boss again. This can be tedious at times, especially if you get killed by the same enemy over and over again, but I think it's a good way to punish the players for getting themselves killed. If you spawned directly in front of the boss again, it wouldn't be as much of a challenge imo, because that's probably the biggest incentive for getting better at this game. And usually, the checkpoints aren't THAT far away from the next boss.
- The controls feel like some kind of Zelda A Link to the Past or similar games, except with less features.
- Completing the game took me less than 3 hours on my first run, which isn't very long, so personally I wouldn't buy this game full price. I got it for 5 bucks, which is a good price for a good game like this.
