Early Access Review
UPDATE: it's good now

I played the DayZ Mod many many hours and loved it. But i always wanted to see the standalone and was really excited about it.
After Dean Hall delayed it several times for about a year, my enthusiasm was shrinking more and more.

Then, one late evening, the release. Instabuy. Started playing the game with a couple of friends about two hours after release. I loved it for about 20 hours and didnt regret buying it for 20 bucks. Dean Hall promised weekly content updates and patches so everything was fine.

Now, about 4 or 5 months (?) after alpha release, i think totally diffrent about the game. It has so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many bugs that were promised to fixed from mod to SA, like zombies bugging through walls and ♥♥♥♥ like that. There were like about 4 "big" content updates yet, but nothing completely game changing. If you think 20 bucks are worth 20 hours of fun (because after this time youve seen everything and the game gets totally boring) you can buy the game, because the atmosphere is still the best of all survival games (maybe except The Forest) and the graphic looks pretty nice.

But in my opinion, i'd totally NOT RECOMMEND buying the game YET. It may be finished someday, but until this day i think there will be a lot of better survival games out there.

So all in all, i think building the SA and releasing it as an EARLY ACCESS title was the worst thing dean hall could have done. The mod was epic, and it is still played more than the SA. So go buy ARMA 2 COMBINED OPS, because
a) you can play the mod with all its sub-mods
and b) arma is a very nice and complex game that is worth buying.

JUST MY OPINION

Neither the best, nor the worst Call of Duty game.

The single player story is nice and the single player is fun to play. But, of course, its only 6 to 7 hours till its over.
The multiplayer can be fun, but sometimes youre pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ close to smashing your keyboard.
This game is like an on-off relationship, you start playing, and if you have a good run, you continue for several hours. But if you are surrounded by idiots and campers, you just rage quit.
But i think every shooter game is like this, so dont decide by this point.
If you liked Modern Warfare, i think you should like this one, too.
And if ou like MW3 then you seem to like every shot you get, so, of course, also this game.
Have fun :D

First of all, The Walking Dead is one of the best games i've ever played.

I bought it maybe 5 months ago, that time i was watching the series on tv with my girlfriend.
So i asked her if she'd like to play it with me, she never was into video games that much before.
But she loved it and so did i. We played the whole game together.
The Walking Dead is one of a very special species of games. A game you can play with two or three people in front of one pc without someone getting bored, because it's like watching the series. The story is great and exciting, and you dont realize how the time flies while playing. The cute comic graphics are also very nice and you feel like 'watching' a comic.
Like I said, to me, it's one of the best games so far, although i'm more in fps games.

If I were anyone who's reading this thinking about buying the game: DO IT.
And when you've finished, there's a second episode to play :)

I bought Limbo when it was on sale like maybe a year ago and didnt play it too much because, as its always, there were many other games to play, but the first thing i can say, is that the game is worth every cent, even if you buy it for 10 Dollar or whatever.
Limbo has on of the best and most scary atmospheres in indie games i've ever seen.
Although it's only 2D and you don't get to know the boy really well, you learn to feel his feelings and fear his fears, like huge and gross monster-spiders and stuff like this.
Furthermore, it's has some nice puzzle elements, which makes it one of the best indie games i've played so far.

So as a conclusion, i strongly recommend the game to everyone who likes games with great atmospheres and puzzle elements.

One of the best story telling games so far. The first Walking Dead game was stunning and this will be as well.
