I feel for the Poor performance issues people are having, but that will certainly get fixed up over time.

People complaining about length, after only beating the main story line (Low rank) Yeah, that was the tutorial. Grats.
The weapons are all unique, armors awesome, My only complaint is the asinine and archaic multiplayer setup! SO aggravating!

Game good.
Optimization? Performance! bad >< (but fixing)

Everyone complaining about microtransactions are missing alot of important details.
-Everything we can get in the store is obtainable in game, most of it isnt rare.
-If you want to spend the money you earned at a nine to five job to get the perk "Disposable Income" and makes things slightly easier for you for pocket change, go ahead.
-Nothing is needed, it just speeds up your play marginally.
-Helldivers 2 Super credits are more expensive than the entire physical item library of Dogma 2. (Barring Rift Crystals) These micro boosts will only apply once.

The Kernal AntiCheat is on Helldivers too, (Different product, same access)
Its a way more valid complaint than the store. Which DD2 doesnt even advertise in game. Helldivers 2 does.
It baffles me how angry ppl are at DD2 but not at Helldivers. They both play amazing.

Seeing a steam page of mini micro purchases does appear offputting, where Helldivers has nothing to list for its store on steam. Is that presentation the deciding factor here?

Will try to update review after reaching endgame.

Had a last stand evac that was too close
3 man, third calls evac early while two of us are doing a bounding retreat. less than two minutes left on the clock
There was a horde right behind us and ammo was getting tight fast.
The desperation as we called every remaining stratagem we had to stem the tide. Used the last of my ammo right as the shuttle arrived. Absolute silence and focus erupted into hollering and elation.
This game is good [edit]

And is still good. Devs are laboring hard over this and the post major rebalance everything feels great to use.
Looking forward to what comes next and hope it includes opening back up to regions that were blocked Q~Q

An actually very forgiving RPG that focuses more on your survival in the world than against some horde of monsters. Camping and staying fed etc to focus on immersion. Yet playing on normal difficulty failure just means resuming your story elsewhere, rescued or imprisoned in a way you can recover your gear and resume after some recuperation.

Surprisingly unforgiving in an unexpected way that again focuses on the immersion. Most quests are timed and dynamic, if they say to hurry then you should hurry. Leaving the quest for long at all (often times a few days) will result in either quest failure or some other penalty for the delay. Regardless the game continues.

I would recommend you go in with as little knowledge as possible, as the discovery and need to experiment yourself was important to my experience (Need to play ALOT more) in a similar way to OuterWilds.
There arent enough games that fill the little niche this game does and I sorely hope that the Devs get the chance to follow it up with a sequel or something that continues in the same vein.

Old Review - Changed from thumbs down

"Bought the game on the premise of the open world and exploration of a wasteland like Stalker in VR. have LOVED it since i picked it up, no framerate issues fortunately.

The 2.0 update they seem to be pushing counteracts everything i've enjoyed and bought the game for however.
The open world is being broken up into more linear-ish levels, the pace of the game sped up by artificial constraints that will reset the world, and over all alot of new mechanics and decisions that just dont mesh with the game i wanted to play when i excitedly bought it.

If they leave a beta branch that allows us to "rollback" and keep playing the old version with the open world, and especially if its supported i'll change this review to positive. As it is and the direction its going i feel the need to warn others looking for a scary open world to explore that this is one of the best, for now. But looks to change this fall. Just sad to see one of the biggest appeals and lots of immersion making mechanics being thrown out for speedier/linear play, even if it improves overall performance for most. Just a no win situation Q~Q"

I commented later on as well but I still want to play the new version, and i'm glad that the dev response to my review actually helped them get sales~ I'm wary but more than willing to give the full 2.0 a try. If youre reading reviews, you've seen enough about the game to know that you should go in mostly blind, and need a little push to get it. Go get it~

I had been following this game for sometime, or the franchise rather with growing interest. When i saw AIWars2 was going to be a thing, i assumed that they'd be releasing a more in depth and scaled up version of what was already present. Unfortunately it just feels bland and uninteresting. With one singular point that mars it most heavily.

You cant build any combat ships for your fleets.

The way it works is that your Fleetships have an allotment assigned to them of any ship type up to a certain number. Your factories are able to produce this (Say a total of 100-120 ships per fleetship) in a matter of minutes but you cant build new ships to allow a new fleet, for any reason. INstead of being able to fabricate w.e ship you're already able to produce, you need to steal them?? and the ship that you steal from this AI structure in game for the purpose of adding to your fleet strength is completely random?

You cant even sort the ships you have correctly either, each fleet has only 7 slots to assign new combat wings and you cannot have DUPLICATE WINGS. No fleet using nothing but bombers (if you managed to find enough bombers) no everything has to be a mixed fleet. And with as much empathise on "Countering ship types" you're effectively unable to set up counters without massive amounts of overtime trying to make the system work. Just not worth the effort.

The only tactic i ended up using was blobbing my ships up and throwing the mess at a planet. Other ppl park their fleets outside and manually select each "wing" to send in as an advance before the rest of the fleet joins them. Again too much effort as a workaround for a design decision made by the devs.

Not hating the devs, i wish them the best and hope they get to fix these issues that numerous others are complaining of. This wasnt the way to approach this.

I enjoyed the game, but I having completed the game in one sitting I can't recommend it straight up.
If you enjoy point n clicks, this will be a wonderful title. It functions much like one and the only reason it wouldn't work in the point n click format is the Demons sequences, which functioned for me a a quick jumpscare (that noise they make on spawn..) and then to slow my progress moving around. Moving the plot along feels very linear and I didnt feel any real motivation to deviate from the main plot. The detective sequences were also very simple, I wasn't challanged by any of the puzzles throughout.

Again, great for point n click fans! Not so much for anyone else though.

See my recommendation for it's first installment "Analogue: A Hate Story" and play it first of you opt to! Continuity is important here!!

"Okay, I can't NOT recommend this VN anymore. (Visual Novel) Note the term is Visual Novel, meaning the focus is intensely on the story and not gameplay. If you enjoy a good mature read, and/or anime girls in cosplay... (xD) Then you'll easily love this VN. The writing is fantastic, Christine Love is a brlliant writer of Tragedy. Yup, this is a Tragedy as defined by drama. It's rare to find a gameworld that draws me in and engrosses me as much as "Analogue: A Hate Story" and it's sequal "Hate Plus" encouraging multiple playthroughs to simply uncover the whole of each story within. Lots of pebbles and a few rocks are thrown at the forth wall without shattering it, it's as much funny tongue in cheek as it is serious "Trigger."

WARNING: As said. Trigger. Massive trigger. If you have "had a tramatizing experience with" or "deeply rooted values against" the following; homosexuality, rape, depression, suicide, and overall prejudiced ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, then read and enjoy this with a close friend. This game/series can be a massive trigger if it blindsides you with it's content. The subject matter is as mature as it gets and still handles it with tact and feels.

HIghly recommended (For Mature audiences)"

I would recommend this game, it's alot of fun and a cool mix between Minecraft and Team Fortress 2. BUT, the old classic version (From before it was bought by a biggie Euro Company) is more fun and STILL available for FREE! No classes and you can run your own servers. Comparing the two I have to wave you away! Hit me up if you want download links!!
