All amazing

But the raw gameplay itself is just not interesting to me. The "idea" of the mechanics sounds amazing in my head, but actually playing the game just puts me to sleep.

If what you want out of an ARPG is to have depth and complexity like Path of Exile, but not be as complex and have a lot more quality of life, whilst still not being as dumbed down as Diablo, this is the perfect game.

The campaign/leveling experience is very fast and smooth and even has ways to speed up the progression by dungeons.

The end game loop is currently solid (if you are coming from POE like me it will def feel pretty empty but lets be real, nothing can really compete with the support POE has gotten over the years.) Which leads to me saying that this game def has a lot of promise going forward and I'm excited to see the direction it goes.

Edit: With what Bungie themselves have announced, the main story being wrapped up, and Bungie just in general being super shaky right now, I don't see this game having a healthy future. So for now, unless current Bungie (or whatever they get restructured into) pull off a miracle, I cant recommend it with how expensive, convoluted and uninviting to new players this game is.

(Old positive review)
It's the standard for an entire genre of games.

Real talk though, its very hard to get into this if you are completely new to the franchise since sunsetting happened. So much story and context is just gone so you're left confused as hell. If you don't mind watching lore vids on YouTube then you should be fine. If you can manage to get into it you have a game with great end game progression/replay-ability, fantastic raids, and a pretty unique PvP if that's your thing.

Gameplay and whatnot are absolutely phenomonal. Love all the systems in the endgame both vertical and horizontal.
BUT... THe way this games servers are setup is absolutely atrocious and makes playing with your friends in an MMO an absolute pain in the ass.

No other F2P game or even other games in general come close to the amount of high quality content this game pumps out every 3-4 months. If you like ARPG's, this is most definitely the best ARPG you can currently play. If you just like looters in general, then this will probably be great for you as well, especially if you like a game with great depth to almost every facet of its existence, although that very thing can be a negative depending on who you are. This game is by no means a simple game, they did recently make the Atlas progression (main end game activity) far more streamlined so that helps, but it still doesn't change the fact that if you don't like looking at wiki's and researching out of game this game will probably not be for you, because if you try playing it completely blind you almost certainly will hit a brick wall and quit.

That aside I can't recommend this game enough. It is F2P but I'm going to say its actually around $20 ish if you get to end game and decide you want to keep playing because playing this game without some QOL stash tabs like Currency, Divination, Essence, and so on can be a massive headache.

So, for the most part the game has been massively improved. I can actively say, that the multiplayer aspect of Infinite is great and probably the best form of Halo you can play right now.

Def has some issues still, but they are smaller in the grand scheme of things.

No other game I've ever played really has filled that "travel the galaxy" dream I've had to the extent that this does. It has a wonderful slightly retro futuristic style similar to sci-fi book covers from the 70s-80s. It has all kinds of avenues of play whether that's pure exploration, basebuilding/farming/production, combat on land and in the air/space, spooky stuff, a great story, and constant new and free content releases that make the game even better every time.

Really enjoy this game. Brought back some Unreal Tournament vibes so if you are from there you will most likely enjoy this game. Only real problem I have with the game is the lack of a ranked playlist. Biggest downside is this game just makes me want to play UT or Quake even more, still recommend despite that.
