Great game with fairly tight mechanics that I know will only get better with time and work. Some notes:
- Would be good if there was a different soundtrack each week, increasing in tension
- Stock price limiting your ability to buy in punishes explosive gameplay. Warrants another look.
- Design and experience are very tasteful.
- I really like the +- duality, and how you can make big greens with red cards (monkey set in particular).
- Some references to famous stock market moments throughout history would make the kitsch hit even harder, Enron, Madoff, CDOs, Retail investor shocks/WSB type stuff.
- has a somewhat Zachtronics type feel to it. Its a really great design and very engaging.

Great bones, very playable, and initially engaging...
BUT
- Level design is repetitive and uninspired. Needs more variety.
- Weapons aren't balanced. Some just suck, like the plasma pistol.
- Some weapons are really powerful even when lower rarity than other weapons, Disc, Lightning
- Some enemy types aren't just difficult, they're annoying. the team buff invuln guy combined with donut shaped levels makes those levels a lot less entertaining
- Boss fights are too easy, almost like a break from the monotonous and difficult standard levels, but not enough of a challenge to be engaging. You could make them tougher and add a special resource that only they drop that can be used to unlock additional content. This would help with other points mentioned.
-not enough gameplay combinations. There is a strong meta and everything else feels weak.
- add more augments and weapons, adjust balance of weapons, and for Pete's sake, please consider looking at projectile speed. Some weapons are almost unuseable.

Cannot rec as is. With more depth and much increased variation, I could. Until then, consider something like Gunfire Reborn, Risk of Rain 2, or Robo Quest.

Runs well on my older machine (1080Ti), has great mechanics, reasonable replayability for a roguelike, some really cool characters, and enticing music and visual design. The best part about it, however, is how you feel when you play it. Like a musical adrenaline rush, this game makes winning fights feel really rewarding and makes your skill as a shooter and rhythm gamer the very center of this gun-toting, flame-colored, viking-inspired world. these developers should be very proud of what they have achieved here. Well done folks. Really.

Early Access Review
Gun-blasting, deck-building, rougue-lite BS-ery that gets better with friends and rewards a careful builder as much as raw agression. The stellar updates and killer dev team is a long lost art near perfected. well done! Get this game. Don't bother waiting for a sale. just do it. you wont regret it.

Combat is a tiny letdown, but still good if not a bit WoW ish. Missions and interactions are a little better than expected. Gear probably hasn't opened up as much as the game allows in the first 6 hrs, but at its current price (11/30/2020) I highly recommend it.

Nothing quite like this high octane MDK shredfest. A seriously intense and viscera-coated evolution of a 1993 DOS game that i STILL PLAY.
