Charming is the word that defines Sayonara Wild Hearts. Charming like a choreographic heartbreak downfall melting into a magical girl tarologic fantasy. The developers surely had at heart to craft a juicy, stylish (with its stunning art direction) and simple-to-play experience that anyone can immediately enjoy, on the shoulders of great ancestors like Rez or Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan.

A very good surprise: its telepathic humor stings, which rewards simple mechanics & puzzles. The concept extends over a reasonable length (4h), which makes it much more endearing than Manual Samuel (in the same genre).

It avoids the pitfall of the simple lazy nostalgic trip (the type of postmodern aesthetics without content that I can not stand anymore), making an intelligent addition to the subgenres of fakeOS / work sim, with an uchronian touch. Also provides a great immersion by simply making its numerous webpages evolve through time, appear and disapear. Especially its music lore.
