What is the meaning of respecting women?

A direct answer will be to never let them feel them low about themselves, especially because of yourself. And the best thing you can do to accomplish that is to -
"Treat her as an equal" (if not more).
I've known people who think that women are weak and unintelligent. But that's not the case at all. Women may be physiologically the weaker gender, but are much stronger at their heart (think Moms).
Women are intelligent also, especially when it comes to human relationships, where men are almost always at a loss (think Sisters, Girlfriends/Wives).
Furthermore, you can show some courtesy like giving your seat to a women, hold open doors for them etc. But give them some space also, so that they never feel like you think they can't do anything by themselves.
They are much stronger than you think, just accept it and everything will fall into place. :)
