Phenomenal.

Bustin' makes me feel good!

It's fun vomiting your guts out while your friend gets eaten by a jaguar.

Game is great. Doesn't hold your hand and you've REALLY got to pay attention if you want to survive one night. You can easily get lost. I love how mechanical everything you do in the game, having to do everything manually and literaly. It does not feel like a chore at all, everything feels with purpose.

It was very fun with friends, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
However, there are a handful of bugs and gamebreaking issues we faced often. They weren't terrible but did need some working around.

Coming from World, it's a massive disappointment. It lacks so much in comparison, it really did not live up to be, atleast in my opinion.

-There are no day/night cycles in the base. You do not have differentiating music inbetween.

-Joining SOS signals is broken and terrible. Unlike world, you do not get a list of open games to choose and join. You are at the mercy of a matchmaking tool, and it never works. You just keep trying to get into a join request, nor does anyone ever join you at all.

-The maps lack so much in content. In World, you had all sorts of stuff to uncover and work with. Each map had a unique palico tribe that you had to find a way to contact, build trust and get them on your side. They would help you in unique ways and give your palico a unique tool to fight with. There are no droppable boulders or any environmental hazard to the monsters, only some walls and unstable grounds you have to launch the monster into.

-Rampage mode is the most boring thing I've seen. It feels incredibly lazy and dull, I've not had a single fun rampage game. In World, atleast those Zorah Magrados fights felt meaningful and fun, you felt like what you did meant something. In Rise, you're just told "oh these monsters are coming, they're enraged by something, go kill them". In World you also had a variety of similar events to choose from (e.g. Kulve Taroth).

-When you get a gold crown, you do not see it at the end of the mission. You have to check your notes if you see Largest/Smallest size updated when you slay a monster.

-The food feels so out of place and weird. Why are these hunters eating sugary slop? It made sense in the previous games that these hunters ate mounds of meat fueled dishes, and their preperation animations were amazing, especially in World.

-Barely any layered armor you get from hard fights or events. You have to spend money to get them...

TL:DR; it's lacking in many ways, feels lazy. It does not have the life that World and previous games had.
If you are getting into MH, go with WORLD, not Rise.

It's a very impressive and addicting game, great time killer. You've got the entire Mars on a birds eye view topographical map.
As the game progresses, more and more areas open up to you and allow you to slowly cover the planet in buildings and trees.
I find a lot of the mechanics of the game to be fun and creative, some areas being flood zones and having the danger of being out of reach to explore the rovers, artifacts is a good addition, and the orbital view for projects looks dope, but it does definitely has its lackings.

Farms' food production pales in comparison to the food factories. The game does not create bridges over the rivers when water levels start to rise, which looks strange at best. As such, some buildings definitely need a buff or work up.

Money hungry goblins ruined another series. Every update is just skins.

It's funny, it's good. Animations are surprisingly well done and the characters are all interesting with great design.
Money making is tedious and boring though, and there are some bugs such as your hand disappearing.
Hope to see it improve.
