As someone who has never played the original Half-Life game, I had a great time with this game. I think the pacing dropped in the beginning of the Xen chapter, although the experice was still very good!

After playing for a short while, the performance is even worse than mentioned.
I have an RTX3080 and Ryzen 7 5800X and literally got 16fps in the menu. THE MENU.
In game I got about 20-25 fps playing on 3440x1440 resolution with an empty map. Can't imagine what it's like with a big city. Obviously you can lower the settings and get a better framerate, but then you get a lot of shimmering and artifacts in the trees etc, and that's still extremely early game. There also seems to be a lot of cool stuff in the game and I love the new road tools, but the game is clearly not done yet.

Game devs (or probably publishers): please do not release games before they are done. Probably getting a refund now and hope the game improves over the coming months/year as I'm excited to play it, but not in its current form.
