We take it for granted today, but a single Dorito has more extreme nacho flavor than a peasant in the 1400s would get in his whole lifetime

This game is an absolute masterpiece, although it might not be for everyone. If you prefer games with lots of action over those that are more cerebral or story-driven, this one will probably bore you out of your mind. That being said, if you appreciate good writing and atmosphere, this game delivers really well. There are so many dialogue chains and choices to make, the vast majority of which have effects and are referenced down the line - it almost feels like playing a tabletop RPG with a DM.

The thing I like the most is the sheer number of ways to solve problems and progress through the game -- normally it can be easy to get bogged down trying to min/max in role-playing games, but I appreciate that you can build your character in virtually any way you want and have it work out. This lets you focus way more on the role-playing aspect, as even failing your rolls can result in dialogue and different events that you may not otherwise see.

My advice playing this game is not to spoil anything, and just make a character that is appealing to you. The story is fantastic and will unfold completely differently depending on what type of person you decide to play.
