It for sure has visual bugs and performance issues, this was true with world as well and it took them a while until they got it mostly right.
What is here is a very fun gameplay loop, with a mostly decent story and the capability to solo all monsters.

However I would consider this a cautious recommend, It requires a fairly modern CPU (I.E last 4 generations) and you will need to turn settings down... this is not a 4k title and I do not recommend playing it at that, 4K gaming has never been very good performance in general. If this bothers you, wait for a sale and for about 6 - 12 months where it took them about as long to figure that out for World.

While the characters Default movement feels a bit sluggish, I actually quite enjoyed the combat. For some enemies the hits don't feel like they have too much weight or response to them but it doesn't impact the enjoyment to much.
This also feels like it was inspired by other games over the years that tried to do a live service, and feels like it's learned from the mistakes from such games.
This was a pleasant surprise and definitely wish-listing.

This is how ports should be done, Atlus never needed to add more content and entire cutscene changes but they did and went above and beyond.
If you are after a dark and gritty creature collection game this will definitely scratch the itch for an engaging story and unique designs. Wholly recommended.

This is more of a PSA for people with simulation sickness more so then a Review, although I will say what I did enjoy about the game for the very little amount I played with it.

First the bad, the Varying degrees of different running frame rates even though it is running at 60, the models during cutscenes specifically are running at around 15fps with everything else in the background including aura effects running at 60fps this can induce heavy eyestrain for people that experience major simulation sickness, for those that have never experienced what simulation sickness feels like, for some people it can feel like being car sick, among others though it can induce migraines and eyestrain that feels like someone is taking a needle to your eye and sticking it in.
This is a bad design decision that can exclude a minority that just wants to enjoy a game. While actually playing the meat of the game being the fighting, I didn't feel as bad so perhaps I just need to avoid playing the story, still this is something that can't be tolerated and developers should take a page from this if they don't want to make people with simulation sickness unwell.

Now the good, The responses are very snappy, and it's very easy to pick up, I assume it's low skill floor while a high skill mastery, for those that don't experience simulation sickness this is definently a easy game to recommend, however for people that do experience simulation sickness you should consider whether or not this is a series you can enjoy, if you don't you may want to avoid it.
