This game is a ton of fun from the sidescrolling combat, the farming, the art style, to the voice acting.

This is an early access review so take it with a grain of salt.

I really enjoy this game for a multitude of reasons.

One of those reasons is the addition of zombies as a game mechanic in the game. It is something that isnt done in the RTS genre, and it really opens up different avenues of strategy in taking down the enemy base. Another consequence of this game mechanic is that it forces you to make sure that you have enough troops when exploring or else you will be overrun by your -former- soldiers as they die off.

There are many other reasons why this game is great but they are commonplace in the RTS genre.

Now, for the reasons why this game sometimes annoys me.

- You need to unlock the tech tree for each race individually using items and other things found during your campaigns. This makes it feel grindey just trying to get the tech.

- There are a multitude of bugs such as units getting stuck and units not following orders

- Siege rams are way too op right now. I shouldnt be able to take down three gates with a single ram against a fully defended castle


However, despite these cons (most of which can be fixed by either game balancing or bug fixing) this game is a definite buy.
